The Göreme Panoramic Point sets the scene for our day with its magnificent views over Göreme Valley. Then, it's on to an ancient Underground City, excavated and populated by a myriad of civilisations throughout history, to discover how they managed to live so successfully underground for such extended periods. Followed by Selime Monastery, which is the largest hand-hewn rock structure in all of Cappadocia. Our next stop will be lunch and a pleasant 3 km hike along the stream of the lush, green, 100mt deep gorge that is Ihlara Valley, home to pigeon houses and cave churches with some unusual frescoes. We end our day at the picturesque Pigeon Valley, with a beautiful view of Uçhisar Castle.

On this full-day tour of Cappadocia you'll visit Derinkuyu Underground City, the largest excavated site of its kind in Turkey. At a depth of 85 meters the multi-level city could accommodate up to 20,000 people. Continue to the Ihlara Valley for a 4-kilometer trek.
