  • Zermatt: Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car Ticket

    1. Zermatt: Matterhorn Glacier Paradise Cable Car Ticket

Start your journey at the Zermatt-Matterhorn valley station. Within 45 minutes, reach Europe’s highest mountain station at 12,740 ft (3,883 meters) above sea level - the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. First, travel in comfort in an 8-seat gondola of the Matterhorn Express on your way to Trockerner Steg. Pass lush green meadows, old Valais hamlets, and enchanting forests before the landscape changes to one with impressive moraines and stones polished by ice and glaciers.  At Trockener Steg, hop into the highest 3S cable car transporting you up to the peak. Take in spectacular views through the panoramic windows and enjoy the heated seats while crossing the Theodul Glacier. Once you reach the summit, visit the viewing platform and marvel at 38 alpine giants of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps as well as 14 glaciers. At the cinema lounge, enjoy short movies about mountaineering, the loca...

Not a very busy day in early September 2021 - so everything at the very top was closed. Nevertheless a pretty good view of the Matterhorn Glacier, on a partially cloudy day. The cable cars are excellent (though not as modern as those new ones at JungFrau). There are actually 4 lifts that interconnect, so you never have to leave the same car. Cars have external racks for both mountain bikes and skiis.

  • Zermatt: Full-Day Guided Hike

    2. Zermatt: Full-Day Guided Hike

Begin with a 30-minute ride up to the Gornergrat Summit Station on the legendary cogwheel train. Throughout your steep climb, travel over bridges, through tunnels, and past thundering waterfalls. Observe the Matterhorn, Switzerland’s iconic mountain peak, which lingers in the background for the rest of the your journey. Take a slow climb up to an open air 360-degree viewing platform to enjoy views over the highest peaks in the Alps. These include the Monte Rosa peaks and glaciers, which are the highest places in Switzerland. Relax at the sun-filled terrace of the Kulm Hotel, before hiking on posted trails through a nature reserve area. As you travel, admire the amazing geology and a variety of alpine wild flowers, and stop at an alpine lake to admire its beauty and crystal clear water. Take a break for refreshments on the sun terrace of the historic Restaurant Riffelberg, where Mark Tw...

What people are saying about Zermatt

the experience was very nice because the landscape is wonderful and the cable car is very efficient and maintains the anti covid-19 safety rules. however, when you arrive in Zermatt especially if it is the first time, it is not clear where you have to go to redeem the voucher and get the ticket. in the reservation it is written that you have to go to the station at the bottom of the valley but who has never gone does not know. at the information office they explained to me, obviously not in Italian, that I had to walk for 15 minutes and then I found the ticket office and the cable car. apart from that everything was fine

"Unearthly" even attraction. Several different cable cars. Possibility of a change at each station to take photos or a little trekking. Beautiful views, the majestic Matterhorn almost at your fingertips and that adrenaline rush at the entrance to the top. Personally, I advise against people with fear of heights

Great experience and definitely worth the price in good weather. Since the booking can only be made shortly before the start, you can plan the weather well. It was a bit cumbersome at the ticket counter because we had to send our voucher by email and they would print it out. But it worked out well.
