2. Zambezi River: Full Day Whitewater Rafting Experience
After being picked up from your hotel or lodge in an air-conditioned vehicle, drive for about 30 minutes to the Victoria Falls entrance where the tour will start. Receive a comprehensive safety talk given by your guide before you hike down to the Zambezi River. The hike will last about 10-15 minutes depending on your fitness level. Find your raft in the river, prepared by the raft crew. Then start practicing the techniques with the assistance of your guide. Tackle the first rapid of your day called the Boiling Pot. Paddle for the first 10 rapids, covering a throng of class 5 rapids that include the Stairway to Heaven, Gulliver's Travels, and Washing Machine. Both the driver who picked us up & returned us , the staff at the heliport and especially our Pilot were all very professional and friendly. The flight was amazing. Lovely journey to Botswana through Zambia and Botswana to Chobe. The park was lovely and very green this time of year. We saw a great variety of birds and animals especially very close to a mother and baby elephant. Also two Male lions. The cruise on the Chobe river we saw hippos crocodiles buffalo and birds as well as various antelope. Unfortunately being the rainy season it rained and reduced our views. Guides were excellent and it was a very enjoyable day .
