Full description
Start with pickup from your hotel, apartment, or other place of your choice in Krakow at the time you specify. From there the duration of the trip from Krakow to Zakopane is approximately 2 hours.
About 20 minutes from Zakopane lies the town of Chochołów. This village is famous for its wooden houses which look almost identical. Settlers have traditionally washed the wooden walls of buildings with soap, which happens twice a year in the periods before Christmas and Easter. Thanks to this cleaning, the buildings that are many years old look like new.
In the vicinity of Chochołów there are places where highlanders produce sheep's cheese traditional to this region of Poland. This cheese is called "Oscypek", and as part of your trip you you learn of its production history whilst tasting it.
The town of Zakopane is the capital of the Polish mountains. Each year, this place attracts many tourists who want to experience the unique style of Górlaskie culture, which is expressed through architecture, food, music, style of speech, and clothing. In the town center lies "Krupówki" Street, and you will be given time for independent exploration and a possible lunch. This street is the market square of Zakopane, where you can find many good restaurants which serve local food, as well as souvenir shops.
Zakopane also boasts cable-car access, and from the top of the "Gubałówka" Mountain you can glimpse the Polish Tatra Mountains. After exploring Zakopane and the surrounding area, your driver will transport you to the thermal pools in Bukowina Tatrzańska. Whilst there, relax and feel the health properties of thermal water. The admission ticket to the Bukovina Thermal Pools includes themed areas for children and adults so that everyone can enjoy their time equally. After returning to the parking lot, your driver will take you to your desired location in Krakow.
