Full description
In this tour you will visit the central spots in Zagreb, expand your knowledge about the city's history and traditions, try different local dishes, and make unforgettable memories with other happy guests. The tour starts on the main city square where you will meet your guide, before heading to the central green market. At the market, you will taste fresh, local ingredients and dishes such as simple a homemade peasant dish, "sir i vrhnje" (cottage cheese), a crusty puffed pastry with fillings ("burek"), and some of the local fish and meat dishes ("srdele i ćevapi"). While in Zagreb, you have to try the unusual authentic dessert, which is best when it's served warm ("štrukli"). As well as this, you will also see how chocolate tastes in Zagreb, since the locals have their own chocolate factory. To provide a good image of what is traditional in Croatia, this tour also includes some of the delicious foods from other Croatian regions such as Dalmatian "pršut" and Istrian olives. To remember the complicated names of the local dishes, you will receive the materials that should make it easy for you to go back to the locations you liked, and try out the additional food recommended by your guide.

We had a great tour (despite the rainy weather) with Diana. She showed us delicious Croatian dishes and had a lot to tell about Zagreb. It was a very entertaining tour. In the end we were stuffed. We can only recommend these. Sorry Diana, in the end we weren't fast enough and forgot the tip.

We had our tour with Ivana and absolutely loved it! The whole group had a lot of fun - and apparently Ivana did too with us. It was very tasty and after 3 hours we knew a lot more about Croatian cuisine, were full and a bit tipsy. We'd love to come back anytime!

Our tour guide is called Kristina. We can only recommend them. She took us to many places in a short amount of time and introduced us to delicious culinary delights. A little tip: if you particularly like something at a stand, it is best to buy it right away. Later, the stand might have already called it a day.
