Take a walk through Croatia's most visited national park, a UNESCO World heritage site: Plitvice Lakes. Plitvice Lakes is one of the oldest national parks in south-east Europe, and the largest national park in Croatia. The national park is world famous for its lakes arranged in cascades. These lakes are a result of the confluence of several small rivers and subterranean karst rivers. 18 kilometers of wooden foot bridges and pathways give you the opportunity to explore 16 interconnected lakes arranged in cascades. This heavily forested park hides 75 endemic plants, 55 different species of orchids, 160 bird species and even bears and wolfs. My husband and I have taken many city walking tours in Europe and the Americas, and we absolutely found this to be THE BEST. Goran, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. He gave a brief history of Croatia that was politically balanced, informative, and compelling. This continued throughout the 2.5+ hour tour, where he told us much about Zagreb and Croatia's political and cultural background, folding in various small facts and personal insights. He also has a fantastic personality, answering questions from profound to mundane concisely and with a sincere interest that we grasp the point. The tour itself was structured very well, with a relaxed pace that allowed for questions and discussion and a duration that covered a lot of the city, so I would expect that experiences with other tour guides could also be solid. That said, it was clear that our stellar experience was largely due to Goran's knowledge and personality. Thanks so much!

It’s only a small city. Nice to get an insight from Tomislav the guide. Very knowledgeable and spoke very clear English. A few bits of the tour, especially the ice cream recommendation, could only be shown/explained by a local. I’d recommend the tour, especially at the current discounted rate

I was the only one signed up for the tour and we still did it. The guide was great, very friendly and the explanations were complete and easy. highly recommended

Perfect introduction to the city! The guide is knowledgeable and nice. Recommended.

Very entertaining and interesting, I can only recommend it!
