Full description

Embark on a full-day tour and take in the sights of the Vikos Gorge and the traditional villages of Zagoria. Learn the region's secrets first-hand by having a unique gastronomy experience on a farm of a bona fide local. Taste the traditional flavors and eat as the locals do.

Begin the excursion by visiting the villages of Aristi, Papigo, and Vikos. Make a stop at the river of Voidomatis, and then arrive in Papigo to discover the natural pools of Rogovo. Walk through the village and enjoy a coffee or juice at a beautiful cafe.

Then, drive to the village of Vikos, where unique views of the ravine of Vikos exist to experience. Next, arrive in Elafotopos village, and meet your local friends, Lena and Kostas, just waiting to guide you to their local farm.

Appreciate a truly authentic experience of the rural life of Zagori and assist Lena and Kostas in their agricultural work. After collecting the products, head into the kitchen at a traditional hostel and prepare lunch altogether.

Learn to prepare traditional pies and learn the best cultural culinary practices. As you wait for your meal, enjoy a workshop on traditional textiles, and experience how Lena uses natural dyes made from herbs and plants.

On the way back, cross the beautiful stone bridges, take souvenir photos, and arrive back at your accommodation fulfilled.
