Discover Old Town, Kamakura, Japan's historic sightseeing destination, on a day trip from Tokyo & Yokohama. Explore highlights of Enoshima Island, known for it's picturesque views which was often depicted on Ukiyo-e, or paintings made of woodblock prints . Visit them both as part of this private experience that can be designed to fit the wishes of your group. Example itinerary: Set off from Tokyo or Yokohama and head to Hokoku-ji Temple known as a bamboo temple in which visitors can enjoy powder tea at the café inside. Continue to Kencho-ji Temple which is the most prestigious zen temple in Kamakura clan. Walk down to Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu Shinto Shrine established by Minamoto Yoritomo, the first shogun of samurai government. It is available for a duration of either 8, 16, or 31 days. It works on the Docomo network, Japan’s biggest network provider. The SIM card connection covers 99% of Japan. It can be adjusted to fit as a nano, micro, or normal SIM card.  If you wish to pick up the SIM at a post office in the airport, please make sure to pick it up during the open hours of the post office. Try dishes like gyunabe, a beef hotpot that originated in Yokohoma, and the locally famous napolitan, a Yokohama-born pasta dish. You'll indulge in the Chinatown specialty, Annin soft cream, slurp on the best ramen in town at the Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum (more of a food court than a museum) and sample beer from a local brewery. Within 24 hours of booking, you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city's food scene so special. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do. Together with your host, you’ll visit two or three different restaurants, eateries and markets and try 6 - 8 dishes, which could be anything from the house special to the dish of the day, chosen specially for you. Your host can't wait to introduce to the many dishes that define the city's best foods – just make sure you come hungry.

Just one hour from Tokyo, Kamakura is the home of the samurai and is of great cultural importance to Japan. To start your day, meet your guide at your hotel, or the closest station. You will then set off to combat the Daibutsu Trail, which is 3.7 miles (6km) in length.  The Daibutsu hiking trail runs between the Great Buddha (Daibutsu) in the south and the Jochi-ji Zen temple towards the north. The trail passes by the unique “money washing” shrine at Zeniarai Benten, where you can branch off the trail and head to Jufuku-ji, the first of the 5 important zen temples in Kakamkura. Nearby, the temples of Engaku-ji and Kencho-ji can also be visited. From Kencho-ji it’s possible to continue on the Tennen trail by foot, for a longer hike which ends near the 5th and last of the five temples. The tour can be personalized according to your wishes.
