1. Sydney, Wollongong: 15,000-Foot Tandem Beach Skydive

Take the plunge with a 15,000-foot skydive over Wollongong! Tandem skydive with a professional instructor, just 1 hour south of Sydney Central Business District. As you jump from Australia's highest jump, at an altitude of 15,000 feet, you will experience amazing coastal views down the Jervis Bay, and all the way up to North Sydney. Once you exit the plane you will experience the thrill of freefall! Traveling at speeds of over 120 mph (200 km/h), you will freefall for up to 60 seconds. Your instructor will pull your chute and you will soar like a bird for around 5 minutes over beautiful North Wollongong beach. The beach side landing zone is located at Stuart Park, North Wollongong.

From Sydney: Private Day Trip to Royal National Park

2. From Sydney: Private Day Trip to Royal National Park

Start with a pickup from your accommodation then commence the drive to the Royal National Park. Upon reaching the park, you'll have a short stop at the serene Audley Weir. From here, choose between visiting Wedding Cake Rock or Eagle Rock. Both places provide the opportunity to see wonderful coastal scenery. Your guide will outline the walk times and differences between the two. If you'd prefer not to do either of the walks you can visit several places further south of the park, such as the Otford Lookout and the iconic Imperial at Clifton Hotel. Wedding Cake Rock On this route, admire dramatic coastal views of cliffs and interesting sandstone formations, with stops at the Balconies and the Water run. Upon arrival, discover an amazingly large piece of white sandstone, resembling the shape of a wedding cake. Watch as it sparkles against the background of the blue Pacific Ocean. A little further on is spectacular Marley Beach, which is best appreciated from a high lookout point. Marley Beach is unusual in having sand dunes that merge into the beach sand. Behind the dunes is a pristine reeded lagoon. Eagle Rock Choose the Eagle Rock walk and follow a track that passes waterfalls, cliffs, and gullies. See native plants including wattles, Banksias, grass trees, Gymea Lillies, and Eucalypts. Upon arrival at Eagle Rock admire crystal clear Curracurrong creek as it reaches the cliff edge and becomes a waterfall that drops directly into the ocean. The waterfall drops 40 meters into a shallow bay and if sunny the ocean water takes on a translucent green color. If the surf is up you'll hear the pounding waves hit the cliff face below. After either Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock, venture to Wattamolla, which has a wide waterfall that drops into a lagoon. The lagoon then forms into a stream that gently meanders to the nearby beach. If the weather is warm there is an opportunity for a swim. Enjoy a refreshing lunch at a scenic location, followed by a visit to rugged Garie Beach. From this point, discover the areas south of the park such as Bald Hill and Sea Cliff Bridge, or make your way to Symbio Wildlife Park where you can get close to kangaroos and see many other native animals, including koalas.

What people are saying about Wollongong

Ken, the instructor who did the tandem dive with me was so nice, patient and thorough. He ensured that I knew what to do before exiting out the plane and landing on the ground. All the skydive crew were so friendly and welcoming. Felt so comfortable even though I was doing this experience alone. Highly recommend it to everyone!

all is perfetc

Riss is the best instructor ever! I was a little bit scared but she made me laugh a lot and at the end eveything was Perfect ! Good job Riss

Because this is a relatively high-risk activity, I hope there will be a window for tourists to consult before the activity
