Full description
Enjoy a family day trip with something for everyone at the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Get a feel for nature as you watch otters swim and black bears play. Stop in the Herpetarium or Insect Zoo to see reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from around the world. Get an up-close look at the animals and learn about their behavior during a giraffe feeding, a rhino encounter, or a chat with one of the keepers. Search for butterflies and caterpillars in the gardens. Enjoy a meal at the restaurant, and don’t forget your bathing suit to hit up the Wharton-Smith Tropical Splash Ground.

Loved this small zoo because of how close you are able to get to the animals. We were able to view several feedings as well as feed the giraffes. It was warm, as the end of August usually is, but took our swim suits and took a break at the splash park. Lot's of fun!
