What people are saying about Wieliczka

Worth every penny!!

My friends and I knew very little about the history of the salt mines! But, by the time we left we each were blown away by the sheer skill, determination and courage it took for the men who mined in these incredibly risky and dark places, with their horses and carts, the statues are stunning, the carvings are so delicately intricate but what wowed us all and everyone in our tour group was the cathedral where they still hold mass and carry out weddings, this blew us away, the sheer size of this place that is so far under ground is unimaginable unless you have visited this or somewhere similar. The guide was very knowlegable, she didnt rush anyone through the tour and it was timed perfectly and the tour size was managable, note to others doing this tour though and isnt a negative for me, per se, but the 800 steps down to the mines can be very cramped and it is a long way down, our group all ended up with shaky legs. All in all though well worth the money.

Amazing- Not Just A Salt Mine!

This tour exceeded all our expectations. We had no idea how interesting and fascinating it was to do this tour. The guide was great, the tunnels and pits were incredible and the areas/exhibitions we visited were extraordinary. We had no idea the significance of the salt mines. The Polish Government has done a splendid job turning the mine into a tourist attraction and venue. The dining looked great, the conference areas lovely and the Chapels - stunning. Watch out for the elevator ride back up!

Enjoyable trip. Yesterday everything went wrong for Auschwitz, but not with this trip to the Salt mine. Good journey there, great tour guide & experience. Thank you.
