A docent did. her best to lead a tour for 1;;00 pm to appreciate Edward Hopper’s body of work. However,, there were so many people & she did not use a micro phone so it could not be be regarded as satisfactory as it should be. Nevertheless my friend & I had a good time.

The proprietress is getting a bit old but she still gets around quite well and is very accommodating. She actually lives in an annex house to the house she rents out and we were the only guests these two days so we had the whole house to ourselves. We probably will not see her except when she cooks breakfast in the mornings. She even showed us all the rooms and gave us our choice. My wife chose the prettiest room. And the whole house is gorgeous with antiques and snacks for us if we want eat some. It is a cozy, beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood.

I definitely recommend this gallery for enthusiasts of modern American art. The building is spectacular with excellent views of lower Manhattan and the Highline from the various balconys. Booking on GetYourGuide allowed me to use the (much) shorter pre-buy queue.
