Full description
Depart Seville and journey to Ronda with a local guide to explore one of the oldest towns in Spain. Take a stroll along the tree-lined paths of the 19th-century gardens of Alameda del Tajo, where the views are simply breathtaking. Go to the Plaza de Toros de Ronda, recognized as one of the oldest and most monumental bullrings made of stone. Learn about the historic monument and take some souvenir photos from the center of the arena, where the matadors usually stand. Next, go to the bridge that connects Ronda´s old and new districts, and get a great view of the El Tajo canyon on which the city is perched. Discover the highlights of the stunning location, such as the modernist palace of the Casa de San Juan Bosco, complete with colonial and Nasrid decorations and stunning views of the valley. Other highlights of your tour include the Arco de Felipe V, the picturesque Barrio de San Miguel and the Puente Viejo (Old Bridge), spanning the deep chasm of the Guadalevín River. Immerse yourself in monuments of extraordinary beauty, such as the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor, built on the site of an old mosque. Admire the Mudejar tower and the Casita de la Torre, where the architecture is an emblematic blend of Christian, Arab, late Gothic and Renaissance styles. Go to the wine museum (Centro de interpretación del vino Sangre de Ronda) and take a guided tour of the Sangre de Ronda wineries with a tasting of local wines. Journey through 6,000 years of history in 12 thematic halls that captivate your senses.

Our driver Roman spoke some German, although the tour is not offered in German in winter. That made the day especially nice, the local guide in Ronda also spoke German and gave us insider tips for Seville. Ronda is very beautiful, with its bullring, historic bridge and white houses. Because we still had some time, we were able to visit the cathedral. Only the wine tasting could be deleted from the program. We were taken into a courtyard where there were a couple of wine barrels. Everyone got a glass and could taste it, nothing was explained. When we asked if the wines could be bought, we were advised against because everything would be overpriced. After 10 minutes it was all over !!!! Unfortunately, you don't get the full view of the bridge, as it can be seen on postcards, because you would have to drive into the valley and we couldn't convince Roman about that.

The tour was very good. Petra was very informative. In Ronda, the experience was ok- slightly rushed. We had a very small group that was quiet. When we were recommended where to eat for lunch, we had very poor service and ended up having a glass of water and leaving. Overall the tour was worth it but minimal time left to grab food and shop.

Roman was a good guide and Armando too! Only thing I have to say is the way AndalSur communicates, it was a bit worrisome and promptness is not their plus. The details says it starts at 6:45am but they only pick you up at 9am and free time is only an hr which includes lunch so you don’t really get to do much on your own.
