We got off to a rocky start as our guide was not at the designated place at the scheduled time but after a call we were met by Al our guide. Due to the error we had our own private tour which was amazing as Al knew everything and everyone on our tour. We were thrilled and blown away by our tour guide Al and the city of Charleston. I would recommend this tour and probably could take it again and learn even more about this beautiful and fascinating city.
I’ve travelled to over 40 countries and done hundreds of tours and Eric has to be amongst the very best. He is a PhD grad and a professor at the Citadel with a deep passion for the history of South Carolina and the various wars. Eric is a fountain of knowledge and blends history with funny tidbits and he is adept at answering any type of question. It’s such a wonder to see someone so invested in their craft and I will highly recommend him.
Eric is the absolute best guide, I have had the pleasure to listen and learned from. His knowledge, his energy and engagement are breathtaking. I will do the same tour again next time we come. What an amazing activity. I considere myself one of the lucky ones. Thank you Eric, you have made my trip to Charleston so much enjoyable and fascinating. I would rate this activity a lot higher than 10 if possible.
Our guide, Bonnie Cooper, was amazing! She made our visit wonderful and memorable. Her knowledge of the city and its history was detailed and intriguing. I would recommend her to everyone if you want a fabulous experience of Charleston. My wife and I were blessed to be on her tour.
It was on the long side - but still fun. Recommend bug spray for Philadelphia alley. Got chowed by mosquitoes.
