    1. Reykjavik: Whale Watching by RIB Speedboat

Hop aboard a RIB speedboat and head out for a thrilling adventure just off Reykjavik's coast. Marvel at the abundance of sea life Iceland has to offer, such as majestic whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Begin your tour from Reykjavík’s Old Harbor and cruise among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík. Admire fantastic views of the city and its landmarks like the Harpa concert hall as you search for wildlife in the water. During your tour, pass by Engey, the second-largest island of the Kollafjörður (Faxa Bay) fjord in western Iceland. Also cruise past Lundey, literally “Puffin Island” in Icelandic, a small uninhabited island off Reykjavík’s western coast. Make your way to the dramatic Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where mangled lava fields reveal the stresses and destruction the land once endured. End on the north side of the peninsula at the high mountain of Kirkjufell. Then, journey back to Reykjavik with a new sense of calm and positive energy. Along the way, benefit from the extensive knowled...

The tour was excellent. David, our tour guide, was very informative. Besides his extensive knowledge of Iceland's history, he also gave some tips for exploring Snaefellsnes. The black beach was gorgeous, and it was different from the other black beach in Vik. We are glad we booked this trip. I thought it was well organized. David chose a restaurant with really fresh cod, and we really enjoyed our lunch there. We have several opportunities to use the restroom as well as plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. I recommend this tour. Despite the long travel time, the experience was worth it. David mingled with all of us. It's hard to remember his last name, but he's an excellent tour guide and an original from the UK. Our tour was made even more enjoyable by the beautiful weather that day!

Our guide who went by the nickname “Iceman” was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable about the geology and provided excellent information about the landscapes and the history of the area. He made the tour special by stopping by places that weren’t listed on itinerary and gave us plenty of time to explore the stops. Having a great tour guide makes the experience better and we were so lucky to have him as our guide. The tour is definitely worth going on as you will see another side of the country.

Given the distance involved, taking these tours is by far the easiest & most worry free way to see Iceland.
