What people are saying about Western Region, Iceland
We met at the Husafell activity center then were taken by bus to base camp. From base camp, they provide rain jackets and boot covers. We then got into a glacier modified véhicule that took us to the tunnel and we had a great guide named Christine (?spelling). The tour lasted an hour in the glacier cave. If you listen closely, you will get to hear some really fascinating information about the glacier and this specific glacier cave. Loved it and would highly recommend.
Best tour we did all week. We saw a lot, had enough time at every stop. Tour guide was very nice and enthusiastic. Beautiful part of iceland. Would definitely recommend you do this tour!! Only negative: the bus was a bit small, so you couldn't sit very comfortable. For smaller people no problem but for us, it was. The tour lasted for 11 hours so long drive. It's worth it but if you can't sit very comfortable it is a long day!
Beautiful part of the country. The driver played music by local artists between sharing tidbits of info about the area. The music was nice, it’s an aspect of Icelandic culture that’s likely overlooked when exploring. Very modern bus, group of around 20. WiFi worked well. Plenty of stops for bathroom breaks. Weather sucked but that’s life.
Awesome experience! There are stops before the glacier. The weather held up. The ice truck was cool. The company provides boot covers, crampons, and raincoats
Could only afford to go on one experience day. This was one of the best days of my life.
