  • Húsafell: Langjökulll Glacier Ice Cave Tour

    1. Húsafell: Langjökulll Glacier Ice Cave Tour

Experience Iceland’s second-largest glacier from the inside and enjoy the rare sight of blue ice at the heart of an ice cap glacier on this half-day tour.  All tours depart from Húsafell, from where you will catch a shuttle to the Glacier Base Camp, Klaki. You will meet a professional guide and gear up in warm overalls if needed, before boarding a specially-modified glacier truck for the drive up to the cave entrance. Arriving at the cave entrance, head inside the glacier with your guide. The man-made Langjökull Glacier Tunnel is a wonder to behold. The ice is lit up from behind by glowing hues, allowing you to see the layers that have formed over many years. Your guide will walk with you through the glacier's corridors where you will have a chance to learn about geology, the history of glaciers, how they are formed and how they move.

Such a unique experience - an absolute “must di”. It is a long day - be ready for 4 hours - and dress warm!

  • Reykjavik: 2-Day Snæfellsnes Tour

    6. Reykjavik: 2-Day Snæfellsnes Tour

After being picked up in Reykjavik, your tour begins by driving on the scenic route 1 to the friendly town of Borgarnes. From there, the course is set to the Snæfellsnes, where you will enjoy watching seals play on the beach and take in some amazing sights at the many beautiful creations of nature in the area. The Snæfellsnesjökull glacier looms mysterious and magical as your tour continues around the peninsula, and you will also have a chance to admire the beautiful and photogenic mountain of Kirkjufell. After this visual feast, your day will end at your accommodation in Western Iceland. The Northern Lights are also famous for playing their incredible symphony of lights in this area if the conditions are favorable. On the second day, your journey continues to the Borgarfjodur area, where you will visit the Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls. One of the many highlights of the tour ...

The tour itself is named "2 days Snæfellsnestour" . What did I expect was to be picked up and stay with those people who were with me in the bus all the time . It wasn't like that. It turned out I was the only one who booked a 2 days tour... all the others (we where about 8 people I think) only booked a one day tour. So at the end of the trip they went back to Reykjavik while I was dropped off at a Hotel in Borgarnes. I mean I got my own room (It said there will be double rooms) But since I was the only one staying there from this tour it was awkward to sit alone in the lobby and eat dinner and also breakfast on the next day alone ... The next day I got picked up by another guide and I met another group of people. The people were nice and awsome at boths tours and I made friends on boths days. However I wasn't happy to be the only one who stayed (without knowing anyone) at the hotel and it was impossible to get in touch cuz there were only families and friends staying there together

Great experience! The adventure begins with the drive over the ice in the specially prepared vehicle. Everything was well organized. Our tour guide did a really great job and guided us through the tour in a very personable way! As expected, it is wet in the glacier, but the right clothing will ensure that you stay dry :)

What an amazing time we had as a group with David leading the way! We got to see so much in such a short time and got lifetime images will never forget. Only thing that would have been better would have been having time to go down to the Studagil Canyon.

This was a remarkable tour up to and into the glacier. Be ready for the cold and dress for cold and wet conditions. Our guide and drivers were amazing!! Memory of a lifetime!!!

The tour was impressive and fun. Also a little reminder that we are responsible if we can no longer visit such great glaciers because they no longer exist

The whole experience was wonderful. Olie our tour hide was great.
