From Perth: Cider, Wine & Whiskey Tour With Lunch & Tastings

5. From Perth: Cider, Wine & Whiskey Tour With Lunch & Tastings

The Perth Hills cider and wine trail is a little bit of a local secret – which is exactly what makes it such an amazing day out. Aside from the stunning views of endless vineyards and orchards around every corner, the boutique wineries in this region offer a more intimate experience where you will often find the winemaker or owner pouring your tastings. On any tour to the Bickley Valley you are guaranteed to taste some amazing wines and local produce - but this tour is about much more than that. It’s about getting to know the locals, hearing their stories and seeing first hand why each of these craft producers is so unique. You start the day with a tasting paddle of five signature ciders at a craft cider house while enjoying views over the apple orchards; you then visit two fantastic wineries for extensive wine tastings (sampling some rare and hard-to-find varieties), explore like one of the locals with a walk through the vineyard and orchard, where you are invited to taste the most delicious seasonal fruit straight off the trees – making this a real farm to glass experience. This is all thirsty work, so after some wine tastings, relax with a gourmet platter lunch with a selection of cheeses, meats, antipasto and some Italian specialties in a fabulous boutique winery setting - again with those amazing views. Finally, head to Perth's only urban Whiskey distillery for a private behind-the-scenes tour inside the distillery to see how it’s made – then finish with some Whiskey and Moonshine tastings, of course.

We had a great day with Evan, who was up beat, funny and very knowledgeable. Because we were a small group Evan was happy to take us anywhere that we wanted in order to enhance our experience. We added a couple of extra stops and as a result had a full and varied day. Great value for money, thorough history of Broome, delivered in a fun and interesting way, tremendous value for money. The trip exceeded my expectations. For me the highlight of the day was the talk at the luggers boats and the insight to the lives of the divers. Well done Evan for making the day one that I will remember for a long time. Totally recommend you try this trip.

My partner and I had a lovely afternoon with Shannon and two other guests. We learned a lot about wine and the Swan Valley and had lots of fun. We visited four wineries and had a good chance to sample everything. We would not hesitate to recommend. The only problem? It’s too far away from Brisbane!

The wines were fun to try. The chocolate store was a nice stop. Too bad they don’t include the chocolate liquor tasting in the tour. We paid the extra $5 and it was well worth it. Got to sample 4 liquors. If you buy anything they deduct the $5 which we took advantage of.

Great tour for locals and visitors. Our guide Michelle was fabulous and made the afternoon informative, fun and relaxing. Tasted some amazing local food and visited some new venues. 5 ⭐️

Evan was an excellent host. The visit sites were fascinating.
