Krakow: Skip The Line Wawel Castle Guided Tour
- Small group
- Duration options: 75 minutes - 4.5 hours
The whole tour was excellent mostly because of the knowledge, humor and enthusiasm of our tour guide, Magda. In addition to copious amounts of Polish history and Polish cultural information, she excelled in giving personal quips, which added to the friendly spirit of the tour. She was personable and engaging, Magda was cognizant of some members physical limitations and was patient.. Both the castle and church were interesting to view and learn about. The reconstructions are truly remarkable and retrieving the artifacts and restoring the castle rooms to their original splendor further impresses on the non Pole the strength of the Poles to survive and to preserve their culture and independence.
We were met early by our guide Maciej and he promptly commenced our tour of the Cathedral and Castle. He was very thorough and knowledgable in all their history, as well as explaining the history of Poland. He gave so much information but also gave lots of time to answer our questions. He went beyond the allocated tour time and also helped us seek a buggy tour of the Jewish Quarter. So pleased we booked this tour - it was particularly nice that it was only for our group of 4 as we were able to move smoothly through the tour without getting separated within the crowds who were also visiting. Would certainly would use again.
Our tour guide was so lovely and pleasant throughout the full tour, she was very informative and knew loads of information and details regarding all the places we visited throughout the tour. We were lucky enough to be the only customers on that tour so we had the full attention of the guide on what felt like a private tour. We had no idea about the history of Wawel Castle, so this was a great tour as we learned a great deal and we really recommend the tour for anyone who wishes to visit!
Our guide Konrad was very pleasant and engaging. Very knowledgeable as well. Our tour started out in the pouring rain, so the first few minutes in the Jewish quarter we’re from the van. We were able to walk about when the rain stopped. Konrad offered a place to buy a rain poncho or umbrella if we needed one. We got separated from the group for a time and he didn't seem annoyed with us at all (although we were rather embarrassed!).
our tour guide was wonderful. She knew a lot about the art and different stories inside the castle. she got to know everyone in our group of nine. She call us by name and shared stories that would relate to us and our respective countries. I would recommend this tour to everyone. I had the two-hour option but I would recommend the 3-hour option if you would like to see more in the cathedral.
