The size of the group (5-6 pax) was ideal as we got to meet new folks but didn’t have to wait too long to go to the next place. The Meikong station stop was a nice experience but might be too crowded for some. A bit humid too since the train came at 2:30pm. The highlight of the trip - the floating market - afforded us enough time to go around and have a nice meal. Thought though that vendors sold their wares in the boats itself. Pleasant boat trip and plenty of fireflies sighted even though it rained earlier that afternoon. The guide, Nan, was very nice, accommodating, and spoke good English.

Markets were fun - day could be shortened!

The markets were really cool. We did also go to a coconut factory which wasn’t on the itinerary. It was fine but I think you should add that. Was also asked if I wanted a 2 hour Thai massage, to go elephant riding, etc. to drag out the day. I think you should just stick to the itinerary described and speed up the day. We ended up skipping the firefly boat tour because it wasn’t until 6:30pm and we would’ve had to wait around 2+ hours for that. Overall the guide and driver were fine and the experiences were great - the timing of everything was just very off!

Overall a nice experience to get to know to the rural life of Bankong. Our guide, Nuch, was very kind, conciderate and informative. The two markets were a good experience but overcrowded and also as witnessed, the average thai although very friendly does not do well with hygiene. That was the thing that bothered me the most especially when we were asked to put on some apparently never before cleaned and too many times worn and sweaty life jackets inside the boat (at amphawa market).

About 2 hours by car from Riverside Bangkok, the train market was a real experience, enjoyed seeing that. The floating market although good was not as I expected, thought there would be more sellers on boats, the market stalls are now all permanent stalls around the side of the water. We did take a 1 hr boat trip along the canal. Didn’t wait for the firefly trip.

Such a fun experience! The guide was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable about everywhere we went. I think this day was one of my favorite days of my entire vacation! Even the hour drive was relaxing and I was able to relax at the end of the night. Absolutely worth it!
