Bangkok: Markets, Temples and Food Night Tour by Tuk Tuk

1. Bangkok: Markets, Temples and Food Night Tour by Tuk Tuk

Discover the beauty of Bangkok by night, and visit sites that most tourists only see during the daytime. Zip thorugh the streets of Bangkok in the back of a tuk-tuk and stop to try some delicious food and drinks. Visit sights like the Wat Prayoon (a UNESCO awarded temple), the flower market, and Chinatown. Take a walk through local Bangkok night markets, such as the 24-hour flower market that comes to life as the night goes on. You may even be surprised with stops at places you’ve never heard of! While the temple buildings may be closed at night the grounds are often beautifully lit up at night and you will walk around Wat Prayoon which is a UNESCO awarded temple for the cultural heritage. You’ll also stop to sample some of the best food in the city, whether that be random snacks in a market, some of the city’s best noodles, or dessert in Chinatown. You certainly won’t go hungry, so there’s no need to eat beforehand! Vegetarian food options are available throughout the tour. During most of the tour you’ll get around by tuk tuk, and traveling at night should mean a lot less traffic and cooler temperatures than during the day.

Bangkok: Night Bike Ride and Dinner at a Local Restaurant

2. Bangkok: Night Bike Ride and Dinner at a Local Restaurant

Discover Bangkok at night on a guided small group cycling tour for a maximum of 6 people. Explore alleyways like a local with an experienced guide, see famous landmarks lit up at night, and savor an authentic Thai meal for dinner. Begin your experience at the meeting point on the Thonburi side of Bangkok at 6 PM. Receive your bike, helmet, and light for your safety, as well as fluorescent clothing, if you wish. Take a short ride through winding alleys to a local Thai family's restaurant and enjoy a tasty meal there. After dinner, cycle through a few lesser-known areas to see Bangkok like a local. Stop at Wat Arun and take photos of it shimmering in the night lights, then cross the Chao Phraya River on a local ferry. Once on the other side of the river, ride to Wat Pho, the largest temple in Bangkok famous for its huge reclining Buddha statue. Next, cycle around the Royal Grand Palace and on to the 24-hour flower market, Pak Khlong Talat. Delight in the colorful, fragrant, and exotic fresh flowers in the market, and see everything from common roses to bright orchids, lilies, and more. Then, head toward Chinatown and cycle among the bright neon lights and market alleys. Savor the sights, sounds, and smells of Chinatown and its street food vendors. Finally, cross the river again on a ferry and ride like a local through some of the winding back streets. The tour concludes at your original departure point.

Kung our guide was amazing we learnt so much about the culture and history of the city We had a tuck tuck to ourselves we went to a Thai market and ate the local food Saw the temple by night which was stunning and were told about all of the kings The flower market was beautiful my favourite part we had dinner in a lovely restaurant And dessert in China town We visited the landmarks and got to see the best parts of Bankok Amazing experience 5 star

We took this tour on NYE, and our guide Yass had to change things up on the fly. We had a fabulous time, immersed in the sights, sounds, smells and flavours of Bangkok. The tuk tuk drivers were super skilled and friendly. A real gem.

This was an excellent experience, especially on Christmas Eve. We had a small group, but our guide Noon made it the absolute best experience, I wish we could have her throughout our entire trip.

This was the best way to see the highlights of Bangkok while in the city for a day! It was best to see What Arun at night without the crowds as well as the night flower market.
