Had an enjoyable time on the cruise down the Potomac to Mount Vernon. The boat left on time, had plenty of seating. Nice to sit below deck on the way back because it was very hot out that day. The time spent at Mount Vernon was nice, we got tickets to tour the inside of the mansion, not just the grounds. There is a lot to see there, the gardens, the tomb and memorial to the slaves who worked there, the home itself. Good selection of food at cafeteria and museum shop for souvenirs.

Our guide was great - lots of insight, stories. We covered a lot of ground in the time we had, we’re able to see much of the sites. Several sites have too many stairs for my partner who recently had surgery on his ankle, so we saw most from outside, but that wasn’t the fault of the tour guide. Unfortunately, my bike was a bit too big for me. I had a spill and because the bike was too big, I couldn’t get my foot down fast enough to stop my fall. My only suggestion is that they take more time finding a bike that suits your height. But that also was upon me to speak up. But the sign in process was rather rushed, so I didn’t take the time to ride it a bit to test it. Overall, a wonderful few hour tour.
