Touring Mount Vernon was great. The boat was clean and comfortable too. The only issue was communication- it needs to be specified that ***once you leave the boat, go up the hill and get in line for the very next tour of the house. You do not need to pay, register or buy a separate ticket for that - it is included in this boat trip tour combo purchase.*** Just tell them you’re from the boat. Now, if you want any of the other “special” tours on the grounds, book those ahead of time.

We enjoyed the boat ride and the guided narration. We had sufficient time to explore the vast grounds at Mt. Vernon. There was a different meeting point indicated on our e-vouchers vs. the text confirmation received from the local cruise company, so we had to track down the correct point the night before. Also, no food service (only beverages) was available on this voyage, as stated in the description when booking. I wish the tables on the top deck were wiped clean before our voyage.

Had an enjoyable time on the cruise down the Potomac to Mount Vernon. The boat left on time, had plenty of seating. Nice to sit below deck on the way back because it was very hot out that day. The time spent at Mount Vernon was nice, we got tickets to tour the inside of the mansion, not just the grounds. There is a lot to see there, the gardens, the tomb and memorial to the slaves who worked there, the home itself. Good selection of food at cafeteria and museum shop for souvenirs.
