What people are saying about Wallonia
We stopped in Dinant first. We couldn't take the cable car up to the fort because it was closed (my visit was on Dec 20). Other than that, there wasn't much to do in Dinant but it was a pretty little town and it made for a good stop to stretch our legs. We got to Luxembourg just before 1 pm and had 90 minutes free time for lunch, then a walking tour that lasted another 90 minutes. Overall, a great way to enjoy the day.
Veronica, our guide, was very helpful and definitely knew her stuff. Frank, our driver, was also great. They fit a lot in a day trip, but there was plenty of free time to explore on top of the guided walks. The only hitch in our trip was traffic - no one's fault! Would highly recommend!
One in our group tripped on a footpath and great care was shown by the guide who helped her inside a nearby hotel and got her to the ER. He then joined the group about 90 minutes later and did the tour with us. Well done Mr. Jan.
It was good. Luxembourg is very beautiful and we were very very lucky that the day we arrived the x-mas markets were open and everything was in a cheerful mood. Before Luxembourg, we visited Dinant also a good experience.
Even though it poured rain, I still felt the trip was worth it. Myriam was a wonderfully entertaining guide and very knowledgeable! Would've liked just a bit more time in Dinant - another 20 mins would've been perfect.
