Amazing! This was our second Tuscany tour within four days, same company, and very fortunately for us, same guide. Dan picked us up on time in a newer Mercedes passenger van. Dan is from the area. He knows Tuscany - the history, the towns and villages, and the people who have lived in the region all their lives. He knows the wines, cheeses, and other foods that have made the region world famous for centuries. We had lunch at the estate of his friend, Carmela, one of the region’s growers of the finest saffron in the world. The lunch she prepared was worthy of a Michelin Star. We had plenty of time to see San Gimignano and Volterra. As we neared San Gimignano, Dan suggested approaching using an old road that would afford us a spectacular view of the hilltop and the town. Breathtaking! We toured another friend’s business. Homero has created, shaped and polished alabaster treasures for 65 years. Could not more pleased that we took our tours with this company and Dan.
