Both wineries are known for their production of high-quality wines. Vega De Ribes is a family-owned winery that has been producing wine since 1954. Their cava is made from the local grape varieties Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, and are aged for at least 18 months. Vega De Ribes also produces red and white still wines, which are also of high quality. Villadelops is another family-owned winery that has been producing wine since the 14th century. Their wines are aged in oak barrels and have a unique character due to the use of wild yeast during fermentation. Villadelops also produces a dessert wine, which is made from overripe grapes that have been affected by noble rot. Vega De Ribes and Villadelops are excellent examples of the quality and diversity of wines produced in the Penedès region of Catalonia.
