Stockholm: Viking Museum Exhibition and Viking Ride

2. Stockholm: Viking Museum Exhibition and Viking Ride

Jump back to the 10th century and experience the fabled Viking era as if you were really there. Through hourly tours, conducted in either English or Swedish, get a real impression of what life was like for the Vikings — from bloody battles and vicious plundering, to idyllic farm life and a complex system of religious belief.  You’ll even come face to face with a model of life-sized Viking, created using DNA recovered from centuries-old remains, along with countless other artifacts and impressive reconstructions. You can also take advantage of the free audio guide at the Viking Museum. Hop on the thrilling ride, Ragfrid’s Saga, to get a real taste of a Viking’s daily life, told from the perspective of a Viking warrior’s wife. To cap it all off, grab a bite at Glöd, the museum’s modern Nordic restaurant, with sweeping views of the Stockholm harbor.

Bought the 72 hours pass and ideal when you make a combination of museums and boat and bus trips. The individual entrance prices are between 140 and 170 crowns per person, so you can easily get it. The ABBA museum is not included in this pass, but it does include hop-on hop-on buses, boat trip, fotografiska museum, vasa museum, Viking planet and Nobel Prize museum to name a few. We stayed there at the end of April and only some boat trips were not active yet. In short, a must if you want to save money on your discovery trip through beautiful Stockholm.

Small but magical insight of Viking life. Staff dressed in appropriate time clothes. Interesting little ride telling a story of a family of the time. Found some real different items in the gift shop ( and I do have a few purchases myself ). Overall a really nice experience.

Great range of boat sightseeing trips available, we did 3, one each day. We also got the hop on hop off bus on the last day which was excellent, got to see lots more. Great places to visit included, the Vasa and the Viking museum were brilliant. Well worth the money.

A great pass to get if you are travelling the city in 2 full days like we were. It covers almost every attraction you want, and the boat rides are totally worth it too!

Once I figured out which buses were the right ones it was simple. I had no problems with my admissions into the attractions.
