I actually attended the four hour tour due to overbooking, but the guide contacted me several days before offering several options other than the time I originally selected. My guide, Vincent was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond just food. The tastings were all amazing and covered a variety of foods and drinks. He and/or the proprietors gave a history of their store and importance of their products. Vincent brought us to the top spots in Veille Lyon, the traboules, the funiculaire for Fourviere Hill, the silk history and how that influenced the city and it's food. The quantity and quality of food and drink was incredible. Vincent's English was very good, easy to understand, and he made pleasant conversation and jokes along the tour. I suggest doing this tour the first day of a Lyon visit, simply because you see so much and go to so many places that it would be a bummer to go to a restaurant you have already been to. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Vincent told enthusiastically, with a great sense of humor, about the treasures of Lyon, in the field of gastronomy, drink and historical anecdotes. The secret passages, the delicious Jesus sausage, always adapted to the questions of the participants, who came from America, Germany/Switzerland and (we) from the Netherlands. Very varied, a lot of information. It was a party in the old town of Lyon. Thank you Vincent! Regards, Ruud and Maaike
