The morning went smoothly - it was very easy to find the meeting spot / bus. We were in a group of 9 which was a perfect size to meet our fellow travelers and ask questions. The bus ride itself was fine - it would have been nice to have some interaction / learn about the city during this time, but did its job getting us from Vienna to Bratislava. The tour guide in Bratislava was very nice and knowledgeable, but it was disappointing that we did not get to see many of the main attractions of the city (Castle, Blue Church, etc.) I also did not realize just how much solo time we would have! Unfortunately on Mondays many of the museums are closed, making it hard to figure out how to fill the time. We ended up getting lunch and catching an earlier boat back to Vienna. Overall it was a good tour, but I would definitely recommend not going on a Monday, and avoiding the main strip for lunch - our food was overpriced and the service / quality was mediocre (no fault of the tour!).

I selected this tour because it has a group bus tour that brought us to Bratislava and the local guide truly met us at the Bratislava. In short, I didn’t have to be searching around in the bus terminals! The short walking tour of the old town with local guide Ivan was very informative. The rest of the afternoon gave enough time for exploring on your own (lunch, going inside churches, souvenir shopping). The Castle was not part of the tour but it was easy to go to on your own (by foot or by separate tourist tram which I took!). The catarman ride back to Vienna was very convenient and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The travel by bus was comfortable. The guide in the city told us many interesting things about Bratislava's history. We had a lot of leisure time free. The travel by boat was very nice. We are Italian and we speak and understand English but there wasn't the possibility of choosing a guide who spoked Italian for our children.
