    Explore one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the Romanesque and Gothic periods in Europe, Vianden Castle, with an optional audio guide. In 2019, this memorable castle made it on the list of the 21 most beautiful castles in the world.

    Upon arrival at the castle, set out on a journey to discover the fascinating history of the Counts of Vianden and House of Nassau, with their impressive links to the imperial court. Marvel at the architectural wonders inside the castle as you explore each wing with its own distinct history.

    See the chapel and the two manors, arguably the most remarkable parts of the castle. Then, step into the incredible Jülich building to the west of the Great Palace. Get to know the story behind the castle's ruin and its restoration.

    One of the best Castle-Tours I have ever seen! It is worth to take the audio guide too! (at the location, it costs 2 Euros, one is enough for 2 people). Now, there is a meeting point if you buy the ticket from GetYourGuide but nobody came at the place (approximately 200 meters from the castle entrance) and we waited like fools for 10 minutes... then we went to the Castle entrance and the Cashier had our tickets/information printed. Negative point for GetYourGuide, but I do not want to lower the overall rating for that. It takes around an hour to visit the whole Castle. Another important detail, in the vicinity is Stolzembourg Castle (aprox. 14-15 km). You CANNOT visit it! It is a private property. Maybe you can book some-kind of a private tour but I do not know where or how.

    Pegamos o primeiro horário das 10:00 horas da manhã. Não recomendo ir cedo demais. fomos em setembro e já estava frio, com 6 graus pela manhã, e por causa disso parece que a cidade acorda mais tarde. Mas a visita ao castelo foi ótima. Apesar de ainda há er umas áreas interditadas. (tive azar nesse ponto).

    Wij hebben het kasteel Vianden bezocht met behulp van een audiogids die heel eenvoudig te bedienen is. Via de audiogids kregen wij in het Nederlands, een heel duidelijke uitleg tijdens de rondgang. Het is een heel mooi kasteel en heel makkelijk bereikbaar. De parking ligt niet ver van de ingang en het kasteel ligt vlakbij het stadje Vianden.
