Immerse yourself in the history and culture of Xalapa on this day trip. Start your trip with a guided tour of the Xalapa city center, where flowers and culture await you around every corner. Later, visit the Museum of Anthropology, considered the second most important Museum of Archeology in Mexico. Aquarium Square of Veracruz will be the starting point of your fortress of San Juan de Ulúa tour. You will first be transported in a picturesque streetcar whilst being delighted by nearby historical monuments. You will then tour the interior of the enclosure with a guided tour. Upon returning to Aquarium Square at 3:30PM, you can enter the Aquarium of Veracruz which exhibits a wide variety of marine species, and is nowadays considered one of the most important aquariums in Latin America. Afterwards, you will have the chance to taste the traditional gastronomy in the charming, mangrove-surrounded village of Mandinga, an important port city in Veracruz. Your package will include a boat tour of Mandinga, which you will have the opportunity to exchange for tickets to the wax museum, Ripley's museum, rotating tunnel, mirror maze, and 4D travel. There you can take photographs with your favorite characters, and in addition can enjoy the Rotating Tunnel, an incredible optical illusion that defies your sense of balance. You can also entertain yourself in trying to find the exit, as you see your figure reflected over and over again around you. Your tour also includes entrance to the Simulator 4D (Fantastic Journey), and at nightfall, you will be able to board another tram to take a tour around the historical center of Veracruz with a scenic walk. Along the way, you can enjoy a diverse combination of local music, dancing, and history. Your tour will eventually conclude later in the evening, at approximately 7:30PM.

Embark on a full-day tour to the charming towns of Alvarado and Tlacotalpan and experience a day full of colorful architectures and folklore. Start the tour at 8 AM where you will be picked up from the lobby of your hotel in Veracruz, then travel to the first stop for 1.5-hours. Admire the beautiful landscapes of the Port of Alvarado, an important fishing village that in ancient times was the entry gate for slaves and pirates. Meet the friendly people of this town and visit the traditional central square. The mischief and happiness of the locals will keep you with a big smile. Enjoy a drink at one of the various cocktail bars and savor delicious local specialties at your own expense.  Then, head to Tlacotalpan City which was declared as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. In this beautiful village, you will find musical events, gastronomy, and handicraft. Visit the Agustín Lara Museum, the church of La Virgen de la Candelaria with its colorful altarpieces and walls, and the parish of San Cristóbal, a true relic. Before you finish the tour, enjoy a tour around the calm waters of the Papaloapan River. Take in spectacular views of the village and relax during a boat ride as you watch the sunset. The tour ends at 5 PM.

Next, visit the villages of Xico and Coatepec, which have also both been appointed as 'pueblos mágicos' as part of a Federal program that recognizes cultural, gastronomic, and artistic traditions. Find out how Xico is known for its fiestas patronales, traditions, and delicious local dishes such as 'mole'. Also visit the famous Cascada de Texolo, surrounded by growth. Finally, discover why Coatepec is famous for its world-famous coffee on a visit to the coffee museum. Learn about the process of making coffee from bean to cup, as well as gaining an understanding for the traditions and culture that surrounds drinking it. At the end of the tour, return to Veracruz where you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
