Our experience with Massimiliano was amazing and absolutely worth the money. He let us choose the object we made during the demonstration. He was so knowledgeable about the different glass blowing techniques and made us feel like pros! He saw the imterest my boyfriend had in the technique and gave us so much information on how to do it ourselves in America! I would go back again next time I am in Venice. The e percent was wonderful and each item in the shop was breath taking. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful activity. I work with silver but wanted to feel what working with glass is like. Maximiliano was a joy to work with. He provided a brief history of glassmaking in Venice and described various techniques as he demonstrated creating a piece. He then showed me all the steps for the piece I would make before having me practice the steps without fire and then create with fire. I was able to pick my colors and have full control of the basic design. As we warmed to each other we talked about the spirituality of glass artistry - the energetic connection between the artsy and the glass - how glass, as like silver (and probably all media) resist or fight back if the artistic energy is not right for the piece. Maximiliano’s studio is dazzling. Each time I looked around, I saw something new. I particularly enjoyed his mixed media pieces. I left with several pieces that I will cherish. I recommend closed toe shoes and no long sleeves for this activity.

Really enjoyed this activity. Massimilliano gave a quick recap of the history behind glass making and how it was moved to the island of Murano which was very interesting and then he demonstrated several techniques before making a figurine. Best bit though was when I got to try making things myself. Highly recommend doing this activity.
