After meeting with your guide, begin a cruise toward the Brenta Riviera. Along the way you will see various villas lining the water. Keep going until you arrive in Fusina, passing through the Moranzani Lock with rising of the water level. Stop at Malcontenta for the internal guided tour of Villa Foscari, La Malcontenta. Then continue on past villages and swing bridges. In the early afternoon, you will arrive in Oriago. Here you will stop at the famous restaurant, Il Burchiello, where you have the option of a discounted lunch. Next, cruise to Villa Widmann in Mira and stop for a guided tour of Villa Widmann, before continuing on to pass through the Mira and Dolo locks. Disembark at Stra for a guided tour of Villa Pisani's gardens, the greatest gardens of the Brenta Riviera. Marvel at its impressive swimming pool, the grandiose stables, and the elegant eighteenth-century coffee house.

The guide was waiting near the entrance to where you embark the boat. I could easily have missed the trip as she was not easily identifiable and I was waiting right in front of the church. Everyone chose to sit upstairs as it was a lovely day. Be warned though, despite it being only mid April it was still very hot in the open. The locks were interesting to traverse. It would have been nice to know what was being offered in the restaurant recommended by the guide. I chose to eat lunch independently in a small restaurant on the opposite side of the river. There was plenty of time to take photos whilst the guide explained to the diverse group in their native tinge. At the last stop I left my bag on the bus. Unfortunately there was an accident and the bus was delayed by 50mins reaching us at our pick up point. The train back to Venice from Padova was cheap and easy.

Beautiful villas, crowded boat.

The cruise started out well. We left from Venice with the boat about 3/4ths full. After we stopped for lunch—which was very organized and very good(but not included)—they loaded several more people. We were not told this would happen. It now made the ride very noisy. We could not hear the tour guide as she talked about the things we were sailing past.

Very special to visit 3 villas, but trip was too long at 9.5 hours

We especially enjoyed Villa Pisano and would have liked to see more villas. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and able to communicate well in Italian, English, French and German. She was very impressive. The boat had good air conditioning and sufficient, comfortable seating. To reduce the length of the trip: Could the boat go faster? Could passengers be expected to bring their lunch?
