It was a fun and wonderful experience, the guide was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. I would love to go on the trip again.
Take in the views at Schynige Platte, adventure at Grindelwald First, or if you prefer, watch the sun set over Harder Kulm. The Jungfrau Travel Pass has it all: three to eight days travel to all destinations and a special price for the trip to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. What top excursions are included? Interlaken - Harder Kulm - Top of Adventure Kleine Scheidegg Schynige Platte - Top of Swiss Tradition Grindelwald - First - Top of Adventure Grütschalp - Top of Family Männlichen Mountain Grosse Scheidegg and Bussalp by bus This pass is an all-in-one and valid for 3 to 8 days. It allows you unlimited travel on all routes that are included.
I purchased the 3 day pass last minute on the night before traveling fo Jungfrau the next day. It was the best thing I did. I received the confirmation and voucher immediately on the app and via email. All I needed to do was go to the Interlaken OST train station and exchange the print of the voucher for the pass. The only problem was that pass mentions that it includes the bus in Grindelwald but the bus driver told us that the pass was not valid so we walked to First Bahn which is a 10 mins walk from Grindelwald Station. Their customer service is responsive which was helpful to calm my nerves at 11pm when I was trying to make the reservation.
Cross stunning bridges, ride through galleries and tunnels, idyllic forests, past gorges and mountain lakes as your climb the Gornergrat on the cogwheel train with the Matterhorn continually in view. At the summit, explore the picturesque alpine world of the Swiss Alps. With a sunny observation deck that remains accessible throughout the year, the Gornergrat at 3,089 metres above sea level provides spectacular views. The Gornergrat is surrounded by 29 four-thousand metre peaks including the highest Swiss mountain, the Dufourspitze, which has an altitude of 4,634 metres, and the third-largest glacier in the Alps, the Gorner glacier. The mountainscape panorama you'll experience is completely unique.
Spectacular View of the Matterhorn on an (almost) cloudless day - 09-03-21. You'll be disappointed if it is overcast and the mountains are not visible. My day was almost perfect and I could see and capture pictures and memories of all the 3,000m + peaks. Be caseful of the lack of oxygen at that height. Walk slowly, breath deeply.
This 7-hour excursion begins with a short coach journey from Interlaken to the mountain resort of Grindelwald. Once there board the cable car at the Grindelwald Terminal for a spectacular 15-minute ride to the Eiger Glacier. From there, exchange to a cogwheel train that will take you to the peak of Jungfraujoch. When you reach the top, marvel at the high alpine wonderland of eternal ice, snow and rock. Experience the Alpine Sensation adventure tour marking the 100th anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau for breathtaking panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, neighboring countries and the Aletsch Glacier. Walk through the tunnels of the Ice Palace at the heart of the glacier. Restaurants are available for meals and refreshments. During the descent you’ll pass the holiday resort Wengen and stop at Lauterbrunnen, where the coach awaits for y...
I took the tour starting in Interlaken, but it actually started in Zurich, which would make it a very very long day. I think there was a stop in Interlaken for the Zurich people, and several of them didn't get back to the bus in time, so that delayed our departure by at least 20 minutes. The tour itself in JungFrau, including the new fast cable ride up to the Eiger was excellent. The cogwheel train up to the summit is uneventful, as it is mostly inside the mountain. The facilities at the "Top of Europe" are superb. Must better than at the top of Mont Blac, or the Matterhorn.
Start your journey at the Zermatt-Matterhorn valley station. Within 45 minutes, reach Europe’s highest mountain station at 12,740 ft (3,883 meters) above sea level - the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. First, travel in comfort in an 8-seat gondola of the Matterhorn Express on your way to Trockerner Steg. Pass lush green meadows, old Valais hamlets, and enchanting forests before the landscape changes to one with impressive moraines and stones polished by ice and glaciers. At Trockener Steg, hop into the highest 3S cable car transporting you up to the peak. Take in spectacular views through the panoramic windows and enjoy the heated seats while crossing the Theodul Glacier. Once you reach the summit, visit the viewing platform and marvel at 38 alpine giants of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps as well as 14 glaciers. At the cinema lounge, enjoy short movies about mountaineering, the loca...
Not a very busy day in early September 2021 - so everything at the very top was closed. Nevertheless a pretty good view of the Matterhorn Glacier, on a partially cloudy day. The cable cars are excellent (though not as modern as those new ones at JungFrau). There are actually 4 lifts that interconnect, so you never have to leave the same car. Cars have external racks for both mountain bikes and skiis.
Explore the snow-capped mountains of UNESCO-listed Jungfraujoch, the site of Europe's largest glacier. It is also home to Europe's highest train station. The 10-hour excursion begins with a scenic coach journey from Lucerne, along the Brünig Pass and the shores of Lake Brienz to the Bernese Oberland. After a break in Interlaken, board the cable car at the Grindelwald Terminal for a spectacular 15-minute ride to the Eiger Glacier. From there, change to a cogwheel train that will take you to the peak of Jungfraujoch. From the top of Jungfraujoch, you’ll marvel at the High-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. Experience the Alpine Sensation adventure tour, marking the 100th anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau for breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier. Walk along the tunnels of the Ice Palace into the heart of the glacier for a on...
Tour provided by Best of Switzerland. Everything from start to finish was faultless. Excellent communications before the tour commenced. A very friendly, knowledgeable tour guide and a friendly group - what more could you want? Attention to hygiene and safety precautions were good and implemented well without detracting from the experience. Konrad our guide was informative, humourous and readily available to take pictures upon request! In fact the your wouldn't have been as good without him! An excellent, highly recommended tour - well worth the money !
The coupon book contains 100 exclusive vouchers with 50% discounts on food, sightseeing tours, entrance fees to tourist attractions, theme parks, UNESCO world heritage sights, Swiss castles, car and motorbike rental as well as class upgrades for train and boat journeys with a total value of 4,500 CHF. The Swiss Coupon Pass is available in English and German. Choose to either have your pass delivered (only available in Switzerland) or pick it up in Zurich, Geneva or Basel.
I am surprised about the various offers I get and how easy it is to redeem the vouchers on spot. I`m usually not the coupon type of person but this is a great booklet to use when you travel throughout Switzerland with another person to benefit of 2 for 1 offers. You can save a lot of money for food (lunch/dinner) and the selection of restaurants is also very good. I am discovering lots of new activities in Switzerland, also off-the-beaten track and I can take a friend and pay only for one person, which is cool!!!
Experience a unique small group day tour to the Matterhorn area, the glacier and year-round place of snow in the Alps. Meet your tour guide in Zurich at the train station and travel for 2 hours together in a typically Swiss-style train to Visp. From there, travel by the cogwheel railway to Zermatt. Upon arrival, walk through the historical part of this alpine village and get lots of information about the history of climbing the Matterhorn. After that, your guide will lead you to the Matterhorn railway to the cogwheel train that will take you to the peak at Gornergrat, the best place for stunning views to the Matterhorn. Enjoy your free time for approximately 2 hours, during which you can have lunch with a 360-degree panorama view. Afterwards, travel back with the tour guide to Zermatt for the return travel to Bern via Visp will take place. Your guide will then lead you to your train ba...
Meet your tour guide at a pre-arranged time in the lobby of your hotel. Your guide will transfer you to the train station in Zürich, where you will board an intercity train. This will take you along Lake Zürich to the south east of Switzerland. When you arrive in Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland, you will have the opportunity for a short walk around, schedule times depending. Back at the train station, you will take your seat in the panoramic train. The train departs at approximately 11:45 AM. Pass through the famous Rhine gorge heading to Disentis, listening to audio comments on a headset. Simply ask your guide about availability. In Disentis, the train will start to climb to 2033m above sea level into a rough alpine landscape. After passing a lighthouse, the train will begin its descent on a steep track down to Andermatt, a village 1400m above sea level. The train will stop in An...
This tour is good enough to follow self guide. Just get the tickets online and follow the schedule. Make sure you know which glacier express route you wanted to see. I made a mistake thinking that the tour will go all the way to Zermatt but the route I purchased stopped at Bern. So, it was quite a disappointment. Our apple pie was not served in the train but was packed up because the cafe forgot to serve us on time.
Start the tour by meeting your tour guide at your hotel then make your way together to the train station in Bern. From there, board an intercity train for 2 hours to south-Switzerland and change onto the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Railway. After 50 minutes traveling through the valley, arrive in Zermatt and make your way to the historical part of the village. Stroll through the small streets and get information about the architecture of the wooden houses. Stop at the best photo point as your tour guide tells you the story of the climbers at Mount Matterhorn. See the cemetery for climbers and missing mountaineers. According to your preferences, stop for lunch in Zermatt or board the cogwheel train to Gornergrat. Ride the train up to 2800 m above sea level and admire the fantastical aerial views. Follow your guide to the scenic platform, where you will have a 360 degrees panoramas of Mount Matt...

My son and I really enjoyed our guide Nina. She was extremely accommodating since we signed up for the wrong class (beginner’s class). The equipment was first class, only wished we had more time/days there. I would definitely use your company in future trips. Thank you Randie and Ben
