Udaipur, once called the most romantic spot in all of India, is the city of Lakes. This tour covers the most important sites of the city, and ends with a serene sunset at Lake Pichola. Several locations were made famous in the the James Bond movie, Octopussy, filmed here in 1982.  Start your tour at Sajjangarh or the Monsoon Palace, an old dilapidated hunting lodge, perched atop a hillside. It offers fantastic views of the countryside, the Aravalli hills, and Fatehsagar Lake, the next stop on this tour. Step into the Maharaja’s lifestyle at Udaipur City Palace (Rajasthan’s largest palace). Some of these buildings date back 400 years. City Palace Museum has opulently decorated rooms, filled with artifacts and miniatures. Spend approximately two hours here, before heading to the Jagdish temple. Built in 1651, this serene marble temple with stone carvings is dedicated to an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Stop for lunch at a restaurant of your choice, or ask your guide for recommendations (lunch at own expense). Take a relaxing stroll around the lotus pools and fountains at Saheliyon ki Bari. As the day comes to an end, watch the sunset from Lake Pichola. The evening light makes for perfect photo opportunities. You can also choose an optional boat ride for a pleasant end to your full day tour. At the end of the activity, your driver will drop you back to either your hotel, the airport, or railway station in Udaipur.

Spend 3 hours on a guided tour around the palace complex, built over a period of nearly 400 years with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Visit the famous Jagdish Temple, a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. It has been in continuous worship since 1651.  After the guided tour, head to Lake Pichola to join a shared boat tour (self-guided) on the artificial lake., named after the nearby Picholi village, and how it is one of several contiguous lakes developed over the last few centuries in and around Udaipur. Day 1: New Delhi City Tour - Agra Begin your trip with a private pickup from your hotel, airport, railway station, or accommodation in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram.  Start with a half-day city tour of Delhi. Highlights include Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Baha ‘Lotus’i Temple, India Gate, and the Parliament House, the President's Palace.  Then head to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, on a 4-hour drive. Upon arrival at Agra, check-in to your hotel and relax for the evening.  Day 2: Agra - Jaipur Get up before sunrise, and head to the Taj Mahal to watch the sun come up over the world-famous monument. You will spend two hours taking in its wonder.  After that, have breakfast back at the hotel before check-out and a 1-hour visit to the Agra Fort. Next, head to Jaipur on a 5-hour drive. When you arrive in Jaipur,  check into your hotel and relax for the evening.  Day 3: Jaipur sightseeing Hop on a 2-hour guided tour of the Amber Fort after breakfast. After that, tour Jaipur from your vehicle and spend 15 minutes at the Jal Mahal, a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. In the afternoon, visit Maharaja’s City Palace. Discover Jantar Mantar after this, a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments.  After that, you'll be driven past the beautiful Hawa Mahal, a large structure built so the women of the royal household could observe streets outside while remaining hidden. At the end of the day, be dropped off at your hotel.  Day 4: Jaipur – Udaipur (by plane) After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. After your airport transfer and hotel check-in, the rest of the day will be for free leisure time.  Day 5: Udaipur sightseeing Meet your guide after breakfast. Explore the City Palace, a palace complex that includes Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces. Amar Vilas, the highest point of this palace, contains wonderful hanging gardens with fountains, towers, and terraces.  Explore the Jagdish Temple, Sahelion ki Bari Garden, Fatehsagar Lake, and Bhagore ki Haveli the rest of the day with your guide. Day 6: Udaipur – Delhi (by plane, optional) Get picked up and taken to Udaipur Airport for your flight to Delhi. First up on your tour of Udaipur is the City Palace, the most famous architectural marvel of Udaipur. This palace complex includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces and various other buildings. The complex also features a museum, which has a rich collection of royal costumes and a display of Rajput weaponry. Afterwards, you'll be driven to the Shree Jagdish Temple.  The Shree Jagdish Temple is 3 stories high and was built by the Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651, costing more than 1.5 million rupees. It is now owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur. After visiting the temple you will then drive to Saheliyon Ki Bari, the most beautiful garden in Udaipur. Then it's a quick stop for lunch before moving on to Pichola Lake.  Here you will enjoy a boat ride with a perfect backdrop of lush green hills. Pichola Lake is the oldest lake in Udaipur and one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan. You will then move to Dudh Talai where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Pichola Lake, Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, the Leela Palace, the gorgeous Aravalli ranges and Udiapur old city.

Day 1: Udaipur City Tour You will be picked up in the morning from either Udaipur Airport, the Udaipur Junction Railway Station, the bus station, or your centrally located hotel in Udaipur by your friendly English-speaking driver before leaving for the Udaipur City Palace. Udaipur City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Maharana Udai Singh stated building this palace in 1559, and it was later completed in the 18th century by his successors. Following this palave visit, you will stop by the Shree Jagdish Temple, a world renowned temple of Lord Vishnu. This three story and 79-foot high temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651 and at the time cost, 1.5 million rupees. It is owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur. Your next stop is Dudh Talai, located on the banks of Lake Pichola near the city palace. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Lake Pichola, Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, the Leela Palace, the gorgeous Aravalli ranges and Udiapur old city. You can choose to either walk around the lake to see various species of birds, relax in the lush green garden, or enjoy the musical fountains in the park. You can also stop by Saheliyon Ki Bari, Moti Magari and the Sukhadiya Circle. When the tour concludes, you will be dropped off at the hotel of your choosing for an overnight stay. Day 2: Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur After breakfast, you will leave for a day tour of Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain. The drive takes about 2 hours (depending on traffic) before you will arrive at Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will learn the history of the fort while enjoying its mesmerizing views. Commonly referred to as the "the great wall of India," it features the second largest wall in the world. Afterwards, visit the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. It is believed that the temple was built in the 15th century under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah, who was a follower of Jainism. He constructed the temple with the help of Rana Kumbha, the king of Mewar whose condition for help was that the temple be named after him. There are four entrances to reach the main chamber where the idol of Adinath is placed. There are also five pillars in the temple, with each holding idols of various Tirthankaras. The biggest pillar that stands in the center holds an idol of Adinath. After exploring the temple, you will head back to Udaipur where you will be dropped off to your chosen location.

At 9:00am, you will be picked up by your driver and your English-speaking tour guide. Drive to City Palace for a mesmerizing visit to Vintage Car Museum and Crystal Gallery. Firstly, visit the City Palace complex, a 400 years old monument reflecting blend of Rajsthani and Mughal architecture. It is nestled on Aravalli mountain range with waterfront of Lake Pichola. Take a tour of the City Palace boasting: Sheesh Mahal, Badi Mahal and Zenana Mahal in its complex. Day 1: Jodhpur to Udaipur (including Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh Fort) Your three day tour begins  From Jodhpur with pick-up from your centrally-located hotel in Jodhpur, Jodhpur Airport, or the Jodhpur Junction railway station. Our trip was excellent and well organized. Our guide ,Nitin, was knowledgeable and explained well about the history and monuments. He was patient in both explaining the history and taking the photos for memory. We really enjoyed sightseeing and would recommend this tour.
