Follow your guide up the mountain, enjoying a well-earned breakfast at the top while you watch the brilliant colors of the sunrise. Top off your active morning with a soak in a natural hot spring and an invigorating coffee plantation visit. Get an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Bali in time to watch the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur. Depart between 1:30 AM and 2:30 AM (depending on the location of your hotel), and then journey towards the active volcano near the village of Kintamani. Upon arrival at Mount Batur, get a short introduction and safety briefing from your private guide. All the guides are locals with experience of climbing Mount Batur since they were children. Benefit from their extensive knowledge and passion for the region before you embark on your 1.5-hour trek to the highest volcanic crater in Bali in time to watch the sunrise. Upon arrival at the top, enjoy breakfast and take in the amazing views of the surrounding area at the break of day. Your own private driver will pick you up bright and early in your classic VW all terrain jeep for a day of adventure at Bali’s Mount Batur volcano. Drive through the scenic beauty of Bali’s rice terraces and lush vegetation. Stop at Penelokan, where you will reach the rim of a huge caldera, 14 kilometers across, with a breathtaking view of Mount Batur. Continue your safari via the truck route into the old crater, where you will encounter huge lava flows which have covered most of the vegetation. The sunrise trek to Mount Batur volcano is considered an essential Bali experience. The famous volcano stands at 1,717 m (5,633 ft) above sea level, overlooking spectacular scenery with views of the crater lake, black lava landscape, and the massive peak of Gunung Agung, Bali’s holiest mountain and the highest point on the island. It takes around 2 hours to reach the summit (1.5 if you're fast); the total hiking duration is usually 4 hours. Before light, you will be walking at cooler climes under an awe-inspiring blanket of stars. At the top, you will witness the sun come up over a sea of clouds before continuing to trek around the crater lake and summit ridge. You'll be given a hot beverage and a sandwich and egg to revive your spirits. After exploring recent lava flows and younger craters, you will head down to loop back to the starting point through a unique volcanic landscape full of native flora and fauna (watch out for the tall grass with purple blooms), encountering mischievous Balinese long-tailed macaques along the way. You must be up and early to begin their trek to make it in time for the break of dawn. You will arrive at the starting point at 3:30am and will begin with a short briefing. Arriving at the top of Mt. Batur takes 1.5-2 hours (3.5km); the total distance of the trail is around 11km.

On this 8-hour journey you’ll arrive at Mount Batur by 03:30. Head up the mountain along a less-crowded hiking trail that follows the volcano’s eastern slope. During the ascent, you’ll trek along a 3-kilometer-long trail. The trail is of moderate difficulty, and passes through lush tropical jungles. The tour begins at Tanah Lot temple, one of the most important and iconic sea temples on the island. Tanah Lot translates to “land in the sea" and sits on top of a rock in the sea and it is only approachable during low tide. From here, you will visit the rice paddy sceneries Jatiluwih, a place of stunning beauty and very iconic to the island. The paddy fields of Jatiluwih spread out across 300 hectares, and they are located at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level at the foot of the southern slope of Mount Batukaru. In 2012, Jatiluwih was recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. Next, you drive to Lake Beratan to see the enchanting water temple Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. This temple is one of the most important temples for the Balinese people and all the ceremonies and rituals that take place here are dedicated to the goddess of water and fertility, Dewi Danu. The next stop will be at the local fruit market and a strawberry plantation where you can munch on all kinds of fruit, fresh from the plantation farms in these highlands of Bali. From there, you drive directly to the gorgeous waterfall of Munduk, surrounded by lush tropical jungle and coffee plantations. The final destination of this wonderful day is the observation deck, offering a magnificent view of the two mountain lakes Buyan and Tamblingan. Then, your tour guide will take you to the hotel where you will be spending the night. The second day of this 3-days trip starts in the morning with a trip to the Buddhist temple of Brahmavihara-Arama, the largest active Buddhist temple in Bali. The temple is found on a hill surrounded by unspoiled nature and picturesque vineyards. From here, you will go to the observation deck of Batur where the wind is cool and the views of Mount Batur and its crater lake are stunningly beautiful. You can enjoy a meal to these views at one of the restaurants or visit the thermal hot springs located at the foot of Batur in the Caldera of an ancient volcano. Next, you will go to the mother of all temples on this mystical island of Gods and Demons, the Besakih temple. The Besakih temple complex has survived two eruptions of Mount Agung, located at the foot this giant volcano and Besakih is considered to be the most important temple on the island of Bali. Next, you will visit the water palace Tirta Gangga, built in 1946 by king Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut. This beautiful water palace features sprawling gardens with ponds and fountains where you can take gorgeous photos. Of course, you cannot visit the Karangasem regency of Bali without seeing the famous white sand beach where you can swim, sunbathe and munch on some freshly grilled fish at one of the beach cafes. The perfect end of another wonderful day on a paradise island. Take a good rest at your hotel on the beach for tomorrow you are in for another lovely day. First thing in the morning on day 3, you will visit the Tegenungan waterfall, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Bali. You can freshen up in the cool water and charge yourself up for the whole day ahead of you. From the waterfall, you will drive towards the cultural town of Ubud where you can stroll around in the famous Sacred Monkey Forest, and feed the monkeys. Continue the trip, walking along the incredibly picturesque artists' trail. Next, you will visit the elephant cave Goa Gajah and a coffee and cocoa plantation where you get to taste an array of local teas and coffees. You will also learn and see how the most expensive coffee in the world, coffee Luwak, is produced and will get the chance to try it, too. From here, you will visit the temple of Batuan and today’s journey with a visit to the famous artisan villages surrounding Ubud: Celuk, Mas and Tohpati, home to batik artists, wood carvers, silversmiths and painters, passing on their trades, skills and traditions generation after generation from father to son.

This was an amazing trip. The sunset view is incredible beautiful and my expectations have been exceeded many times. Thank you! The hospitality of the team is superb. Everything, from the punctual pick up the to the ascent and back was well managed. Arta, the driver, knows the island like his pocket vest and was like my guide on Mt Batu, Patra, are very welcoming and helpful at any point in time. Both speak fluently english. I can warmly recommend this tour to everyone who is visiting Bali - this is definitely as a must see in your bucket list.

The tour was well managed. Pak Putu, our driver and our guide also was a helpful person. He knows a lot about Bali and could answer our questions well. We did enjoy our trip so much. One of our memorable trip. The caldera is really amazing,, and nice hot spring pool, the food was good and the restaurant also has great view. We are amazed by the car. Everything is so smooth. Love it..

We had a great Trip with the Team. Putu, Patra and Koma were so kind and professional drivers/guides. Patra took us up Mt Batur, and he was always making sure we were doing well, he knows the area perfectly and was able to give us a lot of information. He definitely made our sunrise hike a success :)

Quite challenging but rewarding. I was lucky enough to have nice weather, but in 15 after sunrise everything was covered in clouds. Monkey stole my breakfast chocolate. Guide and driver were very helpful and knowledgeable. Make sure you take spare set of clothes apart from jacket.
