We leave Bergen at 07:50 and make our way to Voss and arrive in Voss around 09:30 The train to Myrdal leaves there at 09:51 and will reach Myrdal at 10:36. YOU HAVE TO GET OFF THE TRAIN IN MYRDAL AND CHANGE TO FLÅMSBANEN, THE TRAIN TO FLÅM LEAVES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE AT 10:41 AND ARRIVES AT 11:39. IF THE TRAIN IS DELAYED, THE FLÅMSBANEN WILL WAIT FOR YOUR TRAIN TO ARRIVE. The train runs through numerous tunnels each offering breathtaking views of waterfalls, valleys, and snow-capped mountains. The highlight of the journey is the Kjosfossen waterfall, where the train stops briefly to allow passengers to take in the majestic sight and listen to the thundering sounds of the water cascading down the mountainside. In Flåm you will have more than three hours of free time and you may be wondering why we left Bergen so early. The reason is the train in Voss, the next train unfortunately leaves too late and then we would not have time for the lunch break. In Flåm the Furukroa restaurant and café is highly recommended, in the high season there are several stalls on the small market square You will also find a bakery there, which also offers pizza. There is a microbrewery as well, which is definitely worth a look. If you like, you can also spend your time in a huge souvenir store and there is also a supermarket in this village. THE FERRY TO GUDVANGEN DEPARTS AT 3 PM FROM FLÅM. Please do not queue too early on days when it is NOT raining, it would be a waste of valuable time. The ferry is huge and you will always find a place for yourself in the outside area, even if you are the last person to board the ship. The ferry ride takes about two hours so you will arrive at Gudvangen at 5 p.m. Prepare to be enchanted as you cruise through the majestic fjords on an electric-powered boat, offering a silent and serene journey. As you glide along the crystal-clear waters, your eyes will be drawn to the towering mountains that rise dramatically on either side, creating a dramatic and picturesque backdrop. You'll have 15 minutes of leisure time at Gudvangen, before re-boarding your bus for the return trip to Bergen, to stretch your legs and take in the stunning scenery. After half an hour we will stop at the Tvindefossen waterfall, where the water cascading down 110 meters. The harmony of the falls and the surrounding nature create a truly mesmerizing scene, making it a must-see destination for any traveler. We will stay here for about 15 to 20 minutes. The return trip from here to Bergen takes about one hour and forty minutes. On the way back to Bergen, we will make a short stop at Voss station to pick up our travel companions again, who have made the tour to the Stegastein viewpoint and are now taking their seats again. We will drop you off at the hotel where you boarded the bus. The time should now be just before 8 pm. Just in time to visit a restaurant, in some of them the kitchen closes at 9 pm.
