The trip out to the winery was easy. So nice to see more of the Italian countryside. The winery itself was lovely. We enjoyed learning about the process of blending wines, as well as attempting our own blend. We also enjoyed the small group setting. Dinner was good - pairing wine with each course. However, there was some disconnect later in the meal - a great deal of time passed between courses with no explanation. Wine was poured well before the main course, with some in our group finishing the wine before the food appeared. No refill was offered in recognition of the significant delay. [We think there was some issue with transportation, but an explanation would have been nice.] Overall, the trip was nice.
Beautiful experience I got to share with my Mother-in-Law! Gorgeous views around the property with an incredible dinner setting in the vineyard. The vibe is more of a relaxed, conversational, entertaining setting. While the hosts were very knowledgeable about the wines and explained everything well, the whole event was not centered around the wine. So if you are looking for a personal one-on-one wine tasting then this is not it. The wine was great, food was great, setting was great. A fun evening for sure! Highly recommend. The only slight downside was once night hit there were a few bugs attracted to the lights (they did not bite or sting) but what else can be expected when dining outside at night!
This was a highlight of my trip. So much fun, with a fantastic group of people lead by two wonderful chefs. History, humour and food, all wrapped into one day spent shopping and cooking in a gorgeous kitchen overlooking the valley in the hills of Florence. Breathtaking and delicious? A fabulous combination. I wholeheartedly recommend this, for solo or with others!! I learned a lot, and had so much fun while doing it.
An absolutely amazing experience. This was our first wine tasting and our sommelier Alberto gave a good introduction and information regarding the estate, background, tasting and the wine making process and the Family's traditions. Food and wine was top notch. The estate itself is very beautiful and we were given a tour of the yard. Alberto was also very outgoing and humorous which made it a nice evening.
This was a very unique and wonderful cooking and wine experience! Dante was a fabulous teacher, we made 3 dishes: Tuscan summer bruschetta with truffle, pasta with fresh made truffle butter, and a pork in truffle sauce... then the wine tasting consisted of 8 wines, and also accompanied by a meat & cheese platter plus sides.... I loved it!
