Start your class with a short overview of Tunisian food so that you can get to understand any particular last minute requests or preferences. Then continue on to visit the food and spice markets before returning to cook. The classes offer hands on instruction. The idea is for you to actually make the food in close contact with a traditional Tunisian chef. The approach is to prepare the components of a meal, usually consisting of several salads and a main course or two. 3. From Sousse: Day Trip to Carthage, Tunis and Sidi Bou

Be picked up at your accommodation in Sousse and head to Carthage. Learn about the history of Carthage and see city ruins at The Carthage National Museum. Visit the American Cemetery, where 3000 WWII soldiers were buried. The Cemetary is a few acres in size and is filled with flowers and a variety of century-old trees. Next, you’ll head to Sidi Bou, known for its blue and white streets. Here you’ll explore the alleyways of the area and see architecture that is typical of the area. Visit the Palace Nejma Ezzahra. Built at the beginning of the 20th Century, it was once the residence of Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger. Travel to Dar Alaïa at the peak of the hill in Sidi Bou Saïd. Dar Alaïa is a tribute to Ezzedine Alai. In the afternoon you’ll visit the Bardo Museum. Famous for its collection of Roman mosaics, which is the largest and richest collection in the world. Travel to Tunis and explore Tunis Medina. See Zitouna Mosque, which is the second oldest Mosque in Africa. After you visit, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation in Sousse.

Day 1.  Following an early pick-up at your accommodation in Douz, meet your Bedouin cameleers and begin your camel trek. Enjoy riding the camel with fascinating views of the golden dunes and the amazing landscape, which changes as the day progresses. At midday, have a break for lunch and while the chef will prepare a delicious meal, you have the opportunity to take photographs of the impressive desert. After lunch, your journey continues to the desert camp for an overnight stay. Spend the night under the starry Saharan sky with the sound of drumming around the fire following an impressive Berber dinner. Day 2.  In the early morning, enjoy the charming sunrise and have a Berber breakfast. Then ride the camel and see some rather beautiful panoramic views. At midday, return to camp so you can watch how to prepare a traditional Bedouin lunch. This style of food is unique. Soon after a tasty lunch, you will ride the camel until sunset and see the amazing sunset on top of the golden dunes. Finish a fine day, with a marvelous dinner near the campfire, under millions of stars.  Day 3. Wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a tasty breakfast with the view of an amazing sunrise. Ride the camel to discover the incredible sides of the beautiful desert. At midday, you will have a traditional healthy lunch along the famous flatbread prepared on open fire. Continue to ride the camel through the remarkable dunes and fantastic landscape. Your Tunisian desert adventure will wind to a close, with a camel trek back to the initial meeting point, where your return transportation to Douz awaits.
