The Danube Delta is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is home to more than 300 species of birds and 45 species of fresh-water fish that inhabit its numerous lakes and marshes. You’ll have the chance to visit Tulcea, the ancient port city located on the Danube Delta, and enjoy a boating trip for bird watching or fishing. The city of Tulcea spreads over 7 hills and has been an important harbor since its founding in the 7th century B.C. It was later conquered by the Romans and rebuilt in their style.
