East Bali: Snorkeling Day Trip to Amed

2. East Bali: Snorkeling Day Trip to Amed

Benefit from morning pick-up from your hotel and journey by air-conditioned bus to the dive center in Sanur. Continue to the coastal resort of Amed to collect your snorkeling gear, and board a traditional boat to embark on your snorkeling adventure. Amed is a small village clustered around a single road that circles the sheltered bay. This calm bay has little in the way of current and the snorkeling sites are reached directly from the beach. Amed or Jemeluk Bay is home to yet more of the incredibly diverse marine life that makes Bali snorkeling a real treat. Expect to find Parrot Fish, Angel Fish, Bat Fish, Moorish Idols, Snappers and so much more. You may even be lucky enough to see a Green Turtle or a Small Reef Shark. At the end of your snorkeling odyssey, head back to shore for a delicous lunch. Feast on Indonesian food and enjoy the laid-back vibe of Amed before getting dropped off at your hotel at the end of the day.

Shipwreck was amazing

It was an incredibly long 2.5 hour drive (each way) from Sanur just to snorkel for 40-50 minutes (2 x 20 minutes approximately) but worth it if you really want to see a shipwreck (it was on my bucket list so we did it). lunch was hot and good and thank goodness for car air conditioning. Beautiful scenery on the drive and the water at tulamben was choppy on the surface but you could see the whole shipwreck, three pieces, without struggling too much with current. Very suitable for new snorkellers or those looking for an interesting sea view with tons of fish.

Nice snorkeling trip

Punctual pickup. The reef is right on the beach. Nice reef with lots of fish. We were only 4 people in total, which was very pleasant. The guidin was therefore able to explain and show us a lot. We recommend.

Wow what an experience! Straight to the point...snorkeling, snorkeling, snorkeling! Spent at least 2.5 hours in the water.

as someone who can't swim , to be given the chance to see "what's out there" was amazing
