Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast Coast Island Adventure

1. Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast Coast Island Adventure

Embark on a trip to the Blue Bay by speedboat and visit the entirety of Mauritius' southeast coast and the nearby islands in one day. The tour includes not only a visit to the famous Ile aux Cerfs island and the pristine cascade of the Grande River South East, but also to Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe, providing an opportunity to learn a bit of the history of Mauritius in the colonial period. The site of Ile aux Phares is where, as the name suggests, an old lighthouse dating back more than 200 years stands, now declared a historical monument. In 1810, Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe were the theater of a battle between the French and the British, known as the naval battle of Grand Port, which is the only victory of the Napoleonic Navy and is also listed on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. In addition to the historic aspect of the islands, you will be made privy to a striking sight within the water. The contrast between both sides of the island is breathtaking: on one side you will find the lagoon turquoise and calm, and on the other, the big waves of the Indian Ocean smash against the breakers of the island. You will then go to Ile aux Aigrettes for a swim then back to Ile aux Cerfs, where lunch will be served. Relax and sunbathe or just chill out on the beach or in the crystal clear water of Ile aux Cerfs before returning to the meeting point in Trou d'Eau Douce.

Absolutely fantastic trip. Our guide was so knowledgeable and explained everything through the trip. We all felt very safe being guided through the markets and loved seeing the sights of Port Louis. There were 7 of us travelling as a family a family and our guide look lots of photos of us all together. At the botanical gardens, our guide knew everything about all the plants and we had a great time learning about the palms and smelling all the spice plants. He was great with our youngest child and made him feel very special. The vehicle was comfortable and the driving great. The communication from Carine when arranging the trips was so informative and reliable that we used this company to book another 2 trips after we arrived. Thank you

The whole process was very uncomplicated. About a day after booking, the driver contacted us via email to inquire about the pick-up time and destination. The driver then arrived at the hotel on time as agreed, was well dressed and friendly, he helped us with our luggage. The car was comfortable, very clean and air conditioned. We were completely satisfied and felt that we were in good hands during the journey. We will definitely book the transfer again on our next trip to Mauritius.

It was really unforgettable moments we had in the catamaran trip, we had the chance to visit the waterfall and we had a great snorkeling and amazing BBQ. Thanks to the amazing crew who made our experience even more better. I strongly recommend this activity.
