Full description

Take an insightful adventure to two unique Aeolian Islands as you travel by boat from Tropea. Discover the quaint streets and shops of Panarea's historic center and stop at the active volcano on Stromboli, then explore the exotic black sand beaches and the local village.

Depart from the port of Tropea and navigate toward Panarea while taking in the open ocean views. Disembark at San Pietro and explore the town's center. Walk through ancient streets filled with stores and restaurants, and reach the small Church of San Pietro, the island's patron.

If you'd like to see even more of the island, you can take a cab over to the prehistoric village of Capo Malattese and the famous beach of Cala Junco, just a few minutes away. Alternatively, book an extra tour to the uninhabited local coves and islets.

Leave Panarea behind and head over to Stromboli for an exciting visit to the active volcano with black sand beaches. Reach the charming village of San Vincenzo, and enjoy some free time before hopping back on board to watch the sunset over the volcano's Sciara del Fuoco.

FANTASTIC experience. Initially it was supposed to be only Panarea + Stromboli with relaxed times, due to a mistake by GYG the other one (Lipari + Panarea + Stromboli) was booked. It turned out to be a blessing. The day was very hot and therefore on the boat it was the top. Gaetano who to see him from 50 years old (in reality he is 76) was an excellent guide, as an islander knew about things and explained them to us by showing his heart and how much he is linked to his land. He then took us (with 10 euros more, whoever wanted) to go around Vulcano to see waters of incredible colors and places visible only from a boat. Then the beauties of Panarea and Stromboli, with an evening stroll behind the island to better see the volcano that gave us two important puffs, alone is worth the price. The only negative note: smokers were asked to go to the bottom of the boat to smoke so as not to annoy, but the captains (in front) were smoking and the stench was felt the same. For the rest 10+. nice boat ride with docking on two islands with the possibility of swimming on the beach. multilingual guide and friendly staff! honest on board and food quality price good. last tour with a stop of about half an hour on the boat in front of Stromboli. if you are lucky you can see the famous sciara del fuoco.

The trip and the islands are beautiful. Would totally recommend. The staff is mainly italian, so it helps if you are able to speak a bit italian. So all explanations on boat were in Italian, no English whatsoever. If you are not staying in Tropea, get a taxi in advance as there are no trains or buses past 21.00 o'clock.
