Full description

Join an evening cruise to escape the city lights of Tromsø. Watch as the city lights fade into the distance and enter the serene darkness of the Arctic Circle. Cozy up in an outdoor jacuzzi under the Northern Lights or in the sauna onboard (subject to availability).

Your cruise course depends on the weather forecast and Solar Storm disturbance in Earth’s Magnetic Field. Once the course is set according to the highest possibility of seeing the Northern Lights, your guide will show you the amenities, spaces, and safety equipment of the ship.

Once the conditions are right, the captain will slow the boat to lightly drift along with the current. Witness the dancing Northern Lights and learn tips from your guides to catch the best photo. Your guide will also offer to take portraits of you and the Lights in the background with access to download them. Visit different locations, each one offering a different view of the northern lights. Experience the magic of the aurora borealis– the colors, the movement, and as northerners say, the sounds.

We actually had two trips because the first night was the choppiest they had known. The team at get your guide were fabulous at sorting this out for us. The choppy trip was fun, we were well looked after but no northern lights. The second trip was truly magical. The team were great, we felt safe. I was able to watch the stars and northern lights from the jacuzzi- what an experience. I warmed up / dried out on the fabulous sauna. The hot drinks were lovely and plentiful and the guide was a super host answering any questions. The warm suits were great! Thank you.

Excellent experience, although the weather was really bad the team made every effort to ensure we still saw the lights which we did. They were very accommodating and entertained my 8 and 10 year old boys teaching them about lines of latitude and longitude, time zones, how to navigate a map, the geography of where they were, shadow sizes, daylight hours being affected by longitude position, how hurricanes are formed etc.
