What people are saying about Troms County

Our guide was Ellie for the evening. She was calm, experienced, patient and a great guide. We started off the evening with clouds and snow (!), but thanks to Ellie’s abilities to stay in contact with her network we ended up heading to the coast where we experienced 2+ hours of phenomenal Northern Lights dancing in the sky. The road was covered in snow and she dug out a space for the van with her shovel which allowed us to pitch camp at a beautiful spot near the water. The lights were so strong and changing so fast, at one point we just forgot about taking photos and just lay on the snow staring at the dancing skies above us. Memories that will last a lifetime.

It was a very memorable experience witnessing the aurora borealis right in front of our eyes. It was magical. We are so blessed to have a great spot to see the most wonderful show on earth. Thanks to Andrei our guide for making this tour an experience of a lifetime. He was so very helpful and patient and really making sure we get the best photos . He helped us set up our cameras and even lend us tripods. He also prepared a bonfire for us and served us tea and coffee and chocolate cake and told us littlle bit about aurora borealis . When you are in Tromso don’t miss this opportunity. It is highly recommended.

This is a must visit tour guide group! The guides were excellent and took us to a few places, but one spot was the best and we stayed there the longest. We had a small fire to warm by, small snacks and warm drinks, but the lights were amazing! We saw greens, purples, and pinks, which we were told was rare to see them all for as long as we did. We watched the lights wash over one set of mountains across the opposite ones, and with the moon, everything was visible. The tour guides took lots of pictures for us and shared alot of information and helped us setup our own cameras as well.

If there is one tour you must take . It’s this one . Our guide was very determined that we see the lights . She was very knowledgeable and had a plan based upon the forecast . When things didn’t go as per the predicted forecast she didn’t give up !!! She drove around and made sure we saw the lights . Thank you Ellie !! Bonus on the dinner and cookies with hot chocolate. We saw the lights for 4 hours and even saw them dance :) .

One of the most magical experiences! Very much appreciate Stefan for making our dreams come true by finding the lights with help from forecasts and calling friends in the field. He was very informative and had great energy for an enjoyable experience. We had a two-hour show we could have never expected!
