1. Doctor's Cave Beach Half-Day Shore Excursion

The crystal-clear waters are known for their healing properties, and have a temperature range during the winter and summer of 78-84 degrees Fahrenheit or 22-28 Celsius. In the 1920s an article was published by Sir Herbert Barker, a famous British osteopath, declaring that the waters had curative powers and that he was restored to good health after bathing there. It was said that the waters could cure several ailments. Doctor’s Cave Beach today boasts excellent facilities. The club has well-kept changing rooms, showers, and lavatories. The new entrance, administrative offices, and 3 gift shops are all quite inviting. You’ll also find a cyber café and a sundries shop on site. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and air mattresses can be rented at the club. The beach is manicured every morning and the translucent waters, which the doctors recognized as buoyant and invigorating, have not changed since that discovery was made. Doctor’s Cave Beach boasts the Groovy Grouper Beach Bar and Grill that offers a great variety of meals and drinks. Come and enjoy this world-renowned beach on your next visit to Montego Bay! Ocho Rios Sightseeing and Fern Gully Tour

5. Ocho Rios Sightseeing and Fern Gully Tour

Ocho Rios, Spanish for "Eight Rivers" is a town in the on the north coast of Jamaica. Visit craft markets and fruits and vegetable markets where local craftsmen and farmers carry their local produce to sell. One feature which stands out is the huge clock tower, a once functioning time piece that is over 100 years old. Ocho Rios was once a fishing village but now caters to tourists from all over the world. The name "Ocho Rios" is thought to be a British mistake on the original Spanish name "Las Chorreras" meaning waterfalls, a name given to the village because of the nearby Dunn's River Falls. Learn about Fern Gully, a unique rainforest with a main road to traverse through its midst, boasting over 200 different varieties of ferns. Though the origin of the Fern Gully is uncertain, it is suggested to have been caused by an underground river flowing through caves and later the roof collapsing in, some suggestions are even a flash flood in the 1760s. Many writers such as Marianne North 1871, Lady Brassey 1883, Antonio Gallenga 1873 wrote about Gully Road on their Voyages to Ocho Rios. On the way back from Fern Gully, feel free to have lunch at one of Jamaica's famous jerky center, enjoying the delicious meal with an ice cold Red Stripe beer or tropical fruit drinks. Then spend the rest of the tour in the sun as you relax at Turtle Beach before heading back to your hotel or cruise ship with a heart filled with Jamaica.

Very great experience, the beach is beautiful, our driver very friendly. It wasn't easy to find him at first, the meeting point was described very imprecisely, but the ladies at the information desk were very helpful and after a few calls everything worked out.
