Board a boat for a ride on the bioluminescent lagoon to see the illumination of the water that occurs as the boat disturbs the microscopic organisms inhabiting the lagoon. On this boat ride after the sun goes down your boat captain and guide will tell you the story of the lagoon and why it glows. As your boat approaches the center of the lagoon, your captain will tell you about the folklore around swimming in the lagoon. Then you’ll have a chance to slip into the lagoon, which is less than 5 feet deep. As you swim, the water around you will begin to glow. Watch as your hands begin to sparkle as if covered in glitter. Your amazing experience begins with your pick up at your hotel or port, where you are driven in comfort to the River Rapids, located in a mountain valley near the town of Falmouth. As you enter River Rapids, you will be greeted by one of the friendly tour guides and after checking in and putting on your safety gear, you follow your guide across the Irie bridge and along the jungle trail, leading you to the river launch point. After one final check to make sure that everyone is ready, it’s time to jump in your tube and begin your exciting adventure downstream. With the river currents carrying you through the rainforest, you sit back and relax while admiring the scenery of the surrounding landscape. Each lazy section of the river is followed by exciting class 2 rapids, where you can enjoy the faster pace of floating over splashing white water. There is a stop along the way for a chance to swim and try out your Tarzan skills on the rope swing, a popular activity for everyone to enjoy. After a few more rapids the river currents start to slow down and you begin your boat ride (weather permitting) into the Caribbean Sea. Your boat ride takes you to a private beach, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink, take a dip in the sea, and view some of the cool pics taken by one of the photographers.
