A-MA-ZING: found the bus quickly and the tour started at the moment we took off. The guide, cheerful lady, was amusing and talked practical, saying about interesting places of Vilnius and some lifehacks of the city. At Trakai Castle we somehow managed to enter for free, and it was where the historical, architectural and exhibitions past of excursion begun; again, the guide was obviously skilled and professional, pointing at most important and fascinating places/moments of past only. Free time was just enough to surf the souvenir shops and pick a cozy place to have lunch. Genuinely delightful experience!

I was expecting an audio machine when I booked this but ended up with an actual tour guide providing information whilst on the bus trip over from Vilnius to Trakai. No complaints there as she was rather informative. When arrived in Trakai it was pretty much free and easy. Worth paying €8 to enter the castle ground and also to walk around the surrounding area of the outer castle grounds (which is free). However if travellers requires an audio guide or have a guide to explain the rich history of Trakai, this may not be the type of tour they would have in mind.

The departure was absolutely on time, the bus stops in Trakai directly opposite the castle, you just have to walk over the bridge. We stayed on site for 2.5 hours, which is absolutely sufficient for a visit, lunch and a walk by the lake. The return trip was also on time. The driver was polite and drove very safely. On the way there we received an audio guide that was very detailed and interesting. On the way back you can enjoy the landscape. Absolutely recommendable for 20 euros.

Short and sweet. Buss will take you almost to the castle, you'll have two and half hours to explore, and then you go home. Two hours was enough for castle and a lunch. Castle itself was meh, but museum inside was good.

A nice little audio guide excursion to an impressive sight.
