Get Your Guide provides an excellent one day experience

Our experience on this one day tour of the Chateau region was outstanding. A little pricey as tours go, The guide that took us out for the day, Vincent, was excellent. Our group was English language and Vincent, who grew up in the region, was able to communicate very well and answer our many questions. He was an example of someone who takes his job seriously and has done much studying about French history as it relates to the Castles. This made our experience very interesting and Informative. He has a great personality and knows how to make the day enjoyable. This tour also included a wonderful hot luncheon meal at a local cafe! I highly recommend France Intense and Get your Guide.

Beautiful

So glad I booked this experience for Terry and I, easy to book, good correspondence throughout. Our guide Marion was so friendly, full of information of the Chateau's we visited, which can only be described as beautiful. Enjoyed the winery tour and wine tasting. Overall a great day and met 3 lovely ladies from the States.

Great way to experience the chateaux!

We were a group of 4 ladies (aged 14 to 72). We only had 1 day in the area and wanted to maximize our time. Going with a guide was our best bet. Audrey met us in Amboise, we climbed into her van, and we were off. At the two chateaux she delivered her wealth of information and guided us through some highlights and then gave us a short amount of free time to explore. I wish we had more time, but the agenda was jam packed. Between the two chateaux we went to the Caves winery where we learned about aromas of the local wines and watched a very confusing film about events in history that we struggled to tie back to the wine making. But then, a very good tasting of wine and cheeses. Then we went to lunch at L’Etape. The food (and more wine) was very good but it’s pre-ordered so be sure you mention any dietary restrictions when booking. Overall, this was a great investment in time and $. If your goal is to see chateaux, you could customize your tour and do without the winery and fancy lunch.
