Full description

Follow winding trails through the dense, humid tropical rainforest, allowing you to see a wide range of wildlife. Observe and learn about Tortuguero National Park's flora and fauna, as well as all the details about the park's natural history and surroundings, as explained by a naturalist guide. Get picked up from your hotel in Tortuguero by boat. Head off under the forest's canopy to learn about how nature works and to get a real sense of the tropical rainforest covering 29,000 hectares. Tortuguero is an important nesting site for the green sea turtle, Chelonia Midas. Sloths, monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis, and manatees live in its forests and waterways, as do other endangered mammals.

There are numerous birds, including toucans, trogons, egrets, herons, and anhingas, as well as crocodiles, turtles, and a plethora of colorful butterflies, including the blue morpho. Your guide will also point out and describe the various plant and animal life species, truly bringing the forest to life.
